So I just went to gamestop for tomb raider.

The kid behind the counter asks me if I needed anything else and I said yea I want to preorder a ps4, jokingly.

The kid says "why would u want a new playstation when u can get a new xbox, they come out at the same time."

I said I like playstation.

He says well ms is a more trusted company and they are going to have blu ray and sony is going to be in trouble.

I told the kid "just remember u work for gamestop and not microsoft if you value your job"

Anyone else have an idiot story from them

So you ran in to an Xbox fanboy at Gamestop basically.

This has nothing to do with Gamestop itself. It just a person who happens to work there. I have seen these types of people at WalMart, Best Buy, etc.

As long as they sell one or the other, nobody will care. If he tried talking you in to buying a book instead, that would be a problem.

Gamestop has nothing to do with the kid stating his opinion to the customer. He favors the Xbox over Playstation. When I managed Gamestop, I always pushed the PS3 over the 360.

And that is why I don't shop there anymore. There is almost always some snarky tool working behind the counter. I made a similar joke about PS4 pre-ordering and the guy was just a d-bag.

The only time GameStop didn't piss me off was when my friend worked as manager there.

Idk everytime I go to game stop they are pretty cool? Even when I buy nintendo shit or get into a convo about it.

I'm going there on my lunch tomorrow to get my GOW pre order (which I'm fucking stoked about) so ill let you guys know how it goes lol

Eh, I just ignore that kinda shit for the most part. When they start asking if I want to pre-order something and asking other stupid questions, I just tell them no. I don't go into gamestop to browse. I'm in there and outta there pretty quickly.

I had this once when I went to buy a new 360. The one kid (jokingly) refused to get me one, for at least 5 minutes. At first I was laughing, after that I just told him "look, just do your damn job and get me what I asked for, please". The manager apologized profusely for that.

I don't even go to that one anymore, the one I go to now, I usually get into a 15 minute convo on what's up and coming that's good and what's not. My fiance usually gets pissed :P
