Yes it's a brilliant idea, you will love every single minute of the games. Also the hidden history listen you learn is so cool, the ending is cool
But AC3 is a different matter, the ending sucked with that one,

AC3 was my last AC ever. I feel like ubisoft is winging this too much. AC4 looks unoriginal and boring. AC2 will always be the best.
Oh, I'm sorry did I break your concentration I didn't mean to do that. Please, continue. - Jules

AC2 is the best of the series flat out true... AC4 i am going to get and i want to see what they can do to make the series excellent again
But if the NAVAL QUESTS are as awesome as the AC3 one's, it will be awesome INDEED... But what next

The Ezio trilogy I can't recommend enough, If I had the time I would play through them myself again. Whereas AC3 I can't recommend at all, biggest disappointment last year for me. Most incoherent game I've played in a long time, I'd recommend the first AC over 3. Just my opinion though.

Well the king george DLC that comes out tomorrow could be promising. I think the writers are pretty dang smart, honestly.

So are you getting the game or are you going to play the first and second one and the VITA game... If not
Go ahead and play AC3 until AC4 comes out... But if you want to follow the whole story from start to AC3, then play AC1/AC2 first

AC2 is the best one from the three I've played. Haven't been past Brotherhood. I can't get excited for a new AC now.

I'm fairly new to Assassin's Creed but I love the series, and from what I can tell I seem to be one of the only people who actually likes the original game, too.
Anyway, the Ezio Trilogy is superb, you definitely made a great choice picking that. Assassin's Creed II or Brotherhood is the best in the franchise IMO; it's hard to tell, since they are fantastic games. ACII has more story-driven aspects, while Brotherhood goes absolutely crazy with the amount of missions and other distractions you can get up to. It's massive too, in terms of the game world.
Anyway, dig in and take your time -- these games are meant to be soaked up slowly, so enjoy!

I loved it. It seemed a bit longer than the first and I really enjoyed running around the environment more than the first DLC too, though I DID enjoy it in the first DLC as well, just that its even better in the second part (I won't say anything of the details so that I won't spoil it for others). Story is awesome! Has me hooked and waiting for part 3.
Kawaiius: enjoy the trilogy! That's some good gaming right there.

Just play from the first one right up to the current one, which is AC3 and if you can play the one on the VITA
when you get too AC4, all will be understandable
