anyone with the super slim model, have issues using external drive with no power or double usb(y-shape cable) my external does not have a power jack or no cable to use 2 usbs
formatted the same way as my desktop externa with power, the desktop drive reads and the other does not recognize
my theroy is the usb on the super slim does not have enough "juice"
any others expierence this and have you come up with a work around
powered usb hub maybe?

How is it formatted ntfs or fat 32?
Also, what size is the drive?

both drives are 1TB both are formatted fat 32

I guess you need an externally powered drive. There was many people in the same boat with older PS3s.

thanks that will be my last resort, do you think a ac powered usb hub would work?
I do add movies and pics often so keeping the "portable" HD would be my preference even if I had to buy a hub
