I'm guessing sales outside Japan have been AT LEAST passable, yet not good. Sony possibly wanted to test the waters with a price drop on the Vita in Japan before bringing it overseas.

Indeed. It's the mixture of reasonable price and the software. Soul Sacrifice did pretty well. I expect the sales to slow considerably though xP. Don't have the steady stream of desirable games as the 3DS does. Makes a nice change seeing Vita sell so well though

It outselling the 3ds and 3ds LL combined is pretty awesome.

I wonder how long it will last for though, gotta keep those games coming!

It'll be back under 3DS (combined) next week, PS3 should see a slight bump though.
