Yes... exactly... and I'm too old to wait 10 hours in line for something anymore... although it was fun because I always did it with friends... and we'd take turns getting snacks or taking bathroom breaks or other crucial needs of launch day.

Sony has had multiple consoles and multiple revisions all with rather standard failure rates, 360 was really the first console with major issues, I think the PS4 will be right at launch.

Yeah I'm sure that's why no US retailers have stated pre orders.

Preordered my PS4. With an EXTRA CONTROLER! Probably won't stand in line at midnight, but I can't guarantee it though..

The value of having a factory fresh PS console in the home beats a few dollars saved, me thinks.

I remember when the PS2 launched, some gang bangers went to a Best Buy and waited in the parking lot for one of the people that were in line got their console. They then stuck a gun in a guys face telling him to hand over the PS2...which he did very quickly. As the gang bangers started to walk away, one of them handed the guy $300 in cash and they went home with the PS2 without having to ever sit in line. CRAZY!

I'm not the type of person to wait in line for anything. I'll wait till I can just walk in and buy a PS4. I never do midnight game launches as I can just pick up the game in the afternoon.

If they are shipping anywhere near as many as was stated a few weeks ago by I can't remember who... then there should be plenty stock even if the first week is an unprecedented success.
