Love to hear your thoughts on this article.
I used to love chatting online. Now, I can't be bothered listening to whining kids.

only if I'm playing with people I know.
PCs are very much like Air Conditioners.
They both become utterly useless once you start to open up Windows....

First off im 33 so I dont think adults are too old for video games, but they are more for children than adults so having rooms filled with kids is not going to change

Don't use my mic as much as I used to. Liked it most when playing racing games.
I came, I saw, I play

actually lemme rephrase my above comment.
I always wear my headset at night since the game audio is played thru them, but my chat is usually muted unless I'm playing with people I know unless I hear people communicating as a team and not just babling on about random crap. Then I'll unmute and join in.
Same during the day except I use my surround sound for game audio. Ill put on and use my mic if playing with friends or hear others communicating as a team. Otherwise it just sits there.
Seeing as the avg gamer is 30 and many of these games are rated M (17 ^) I'd argue that these games are more for adults then they are for children personally. I do agree that having rooms full of kids will not change however. We all used to be those same kids at one point

Naw, we all used to be kids. We didn't used to be THOSE kids. Those kids have some mouths on them, lol. I never used to talk that way to anyone... even with friends... at that age. It's awful. Kids just say whatever they want online and cuss like sailors... although I don't think sailors are going around calling everyone under the sun the 'N' word.

I don't chat on any game, PS3, 360, PC, whatever. Unless its with actual friends.
That being said, I'm not a big multiplayer guy, but across all the platforms and games I do play, the 360 has the most kids screaming their 12 year old lungs out - mainly on Halo but that isn't restricted

Only when i am talking to my bro and friends, it is used when we pass info about the game we are playing together
Sometimes we chat when they are playing games and i point out places to go and glitches to do
I never go beyond this
Thanks to Spyrde/Sylar

With friends yes otherwise mute
Having to listen to people really ruins the game, but even people in your friends list
I know people want cross game chat, but that just removes your excuse to not talk to someone when you are trying to play a game
