So far, I'm really interested in the air gesture controls & S Translator, which translates spoken dialogue & text. That 1080P Super AMOLED 440 ppi screen & 13 MP are hot as well.

I'll just check out the features later, this presentation is unbearably stupid.

Couldn't watch it either. Ugh. Nothing too interesting for me at this point though. I'll have to take another look at it after it's all online somewhere.

Looks like nothing special.
The presentation was so over done it almost seemed fake.

Comes out right when my contract is up. Perfect timing! I am ditching the iPhone for this beast.

Tricky one for me, my contract is also up exactly when this launches (end of april). I've had my heart set on the xperia Z for a while but having read a bit more, this comes with a 64gb version lol, that's sick +sd card + 2600mah batt + removable batt. Seeing as how the Z will have been out for a while come April it will be much much better priced so I may just end up skipping this.. Seems good though. Wished they changed the design

I don't necessarily have to have the BEST at the time (unless I can afford it). So a 6-12 month old product doesn't bother me providing it's still up to scratch. That and the lower price is good for me.
Hmm, would be cool for Smartglass and possible PS4 functionality. But it's all theoretical at this point.

Heard. That's where I'm coming from at the moment too. Until S4 comes out the Z remains the best Android handset out I think and it's already reasonably priced around here on contract. Dang. Will wait for more info on the S4 though before I make any decisions
All that gesture stuff they've crammed into it, while interesting, seems pointless lol. Waving your palm to scroll up/down - just use your fingertip? o.o. I suppose we've gotten to that point where these are the kinds of 'innovations' we should expect
Also seems like most of the new stuff on the S4 could be implemented on the S3 via a firmware update.

I'm still impressed that some phones (sen this on the S3 so far only but who knows) can take a photo by simply saying cheese + detecting smile.
So many cool little phone features these days.
For me, ruggedness is a must as I always drop my phone (i'm surprised I haven't done it sooner!) - and the Xperia Z seems to be the best fit for that at the moment.
