I <3 my i5. So glad I chose it over an AMD. I had an AMD in my laptop and it was god awful.

Anyway, nVidia, their GPUs are great, I'll give them that, but they're also expensive. £800+ for a GTX Titan? No thanks. It's only a 690 on a single chip anyway, which was just two 680s in one box. Talk about being lazy!

Well, i never bought an Nvidia card in my whole life. Still using ATI/AMD technologies and i´m fine with that. Nvidia pissed me off with all this PhysX stuff and so on. Like u NEED an Nvidia card to get the most out of your games. That sucked back in the old days and still sucks today so ya better luck next time Nvidia.

The reason why I like this guys benchmarks is because there is no bias really on his part. He uses Nvidia and intel but he's doing fair benchmarks. sometimes some mistakes with the wording and text but still very fair. you can tell some sites get paid off to raise the benchmarks in favor of whatever.

I want to think the reason Sony went with AMD is like this guy said....you get more for your money with AMD.

Sony went with AMD due to lower thermals and better perf/watt because with a console you can't have PC-like power consumption and heat. The only area Intel sucks pretty hard at is with low power embedded systems, this is where ARM and AMD mess them up.

Jaguar is very efficient and not very hot when running. And of course, it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

I will say that intel cpu's don't really smack around the amd cpu's, far from it. Right now the best bang for your buck is the 8350 by AMD Vs. the intel unless of course you want the super uber extreme gaming additions which are so over priced it's stupid. Other then that, the intel doesn't really smack anything around.

it might out perform in certain software programs that aren't important to gamers but for gaming, nah.

More and more people I've noticed have been buying radeon GPU's over Nvidia, that same thing applies to the AMD CPU as well. the fps between intel cpu and amd cpu is not that big of a deal and for streaming games on the PC, the amd beats the intel. however, in terms of installing whatever game on your PC it's always been wishy washy. I never trust benchmark derp sites such as "Toms Hardware" because it's paid off bullshit and the benchmarks are not only over exaggerated but crappy tests anyway.

Looking at real user stress tests and benchmarks the AMD is not all that bad. The fact that Sony went with AMD is one of the smartest moves they could have done.

GPU wise there is litterally nothing in it, it mostly comes down to drivers.
When a new card releases drivers are not matureand thats when the benchmarks are made for all cards.
But still there is that problem of AMD drivers with mostly OpenGL games especially Quake 3 coupled with the Steam overlay. AAARRGGHH!. Why they cannot sort it out is beyond me (maybe they dont give a shit) its been like this to my knowledge since 2010.
However its not like we cannot do anything about it...

what do you mean? how is talking crap about the ps4 going to sell their shield? directly it wont... but any diminishing remark about a competitor in a market is just prep work. In the end its all just marketing talk to get people interested in their own stuff rather than focus on PS4/nextbox.
