Do you buy video game/movie soundtracks?

I sometimes get songs or scores from films and games come on my ipod when I use shuffle and I wondered if any of you fellas buy soundtracks?

Well, my favourite genre of music is contemporary classical, so I always buy the public albums of Two Steps from Hell. Their music is used in many films, so that's a yes.

I have a few final fantasy OST's. But to be honest I usually buy Individual tracks from iTunes as I usually don't like the majority of the songs.

As for film soundtracks, I have a few. Mostly Ennio Morricone for the films he scored for Sergio Leone, and a few others most notably the Rocky III soundtrack and Pulp Fiction soundtracks

No, barely barely ever.

The only exception is when I get them for free in Special Editions or from pre orders, I might give them a listen but I only really keep Devil May Cry music on my iPod

The only soundtrack I bought was the one for Shatter, the PSN game. It's a masterpiece for those into that style of music.

I have also downloaded/bought many Sonic the Hedgehog tracks. The games may not be what they used to be, but the quality of its music has always been some of the best I've heard in any video game and it has remained that way since Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

Other than that, I'm never up to buying whole VG/movie soundtracks.

Not really unless it's from Mortal Kombat or GTA, because I like the song variety in GTA games and techno in MK. I used to buy the shit out of movie soundtracks. Again, movies with awesome soundtracks always had an interest for me.

Yeah, I have some soundtracks from video games. I don't really have anything from movies. The only thing I can think of is "Skyfall" from Adele, but when I heard that song the first time during the opening credits of the movie I was like, "I gots to have it!"

Anyway, video game soundtracks... I have all the songs from the Mass Effect trilogy, and other soundtracks like Halo 3, Halo: Reach, Scott Pilgrim: The Video Game, Trine, Assassin's Creed 2, Super Street Fighter 4, and all the Tekken games to name prob most.

So yeah, I listen to lots and lots of soundtracks. Spotify is well-suited for that as well!

too right man, sometimes the music adds to the experience as much as the story itself. It's great that so many people can appreciate the work that goes into making a soundtrack
