Defiance beta and micro-transactions

Anyone going to be playing Defiance over the weekend?

I'll definitely be taking a look but I hope that micro-transactions doesn't ruin it. I know the developer says that we don't have to buy anything but I hope people can't just buy massive upgrades that create a huge imbalance.

I've played the beta and i've bought a couple of items in the game and it doesn't do anything to make this game bad, i mean even though someone might have a better gun everyone is still getting the same xp and loot plus driving is so much fun this is probably my favorite MMO and i played alot.

Played the beta for a bit was awesome though my ps3 froze one and I failed a quest because I wasn't sure how to end it

Well that is considered an open beta imo closed beta is when nobody in the public have access to it, plus if you apply on there site you got a high chance on getting a code.

I applied and got sent a code but it wont work. Just says its an invalid code. guess I will have to wait till release

Got the game today but have not spent much time with it. I checked my email and I got into the final fantasy beta. Don't know what to play

Got the game today and I am loving it. It's my first MMO, it's keeping me more interested than Bioshock Infinite at the minute.

The episode stuff is bonus content added after each show, the main campaign and side missions are different so yeah wouldnt be to bad though game would probably be boring if theres not many people online, im just over level 300 now, the fact its not PvP is keeping me hooked.

I have not played the beta and now i know the Micro rubbish is in it... I will avoid it

It makes the game just a bank for the creators

The micro transactions are complete optional so I have no issue with it

Game arrived in the mail today. Have played for about an hour. really enjoying it. this game is going to take up a lot of my time. If anyone ever wants to team up let me know.
