Haha, that's what it's supposed to display since it's a lighting engine.

Can't say that it looks that different from what we've already seen, even though it does look good.

E: Ok, released games already use it.

Imagine a new God of War/Uncharted/Tomb Raider game with this engine, it would be amazing.

My personal opinions are not endorsed by PSU. But they should be.

This is only a lighting engine. It was used in the likes of BF3, Need for speed the run and some others I can't remember right now. First parties will probably stick with in house solutions

Maybe so but the videos above showcase the new, next-gen version of their engine. Either way, it's damn impressive.

I won't be surprised if it gets even more awesome as we move into next gen. Technologies at the start of new gens are hardly representative of final results

Just talking about the lighting since that's what's being showcased, to me it doesn't look any different than some current-gen titles, like Red Dead Redemption. I personally dislike the bloom in the first video (0:32-0:34).

same. It was current gen to me. Maybe because I've already seen the likes of Deep Down or Agni (baked but whatever)

The shadows around the lighting was the most impressive thing to me. Not really the lighting itself. They were very fluid.

Shadows are definitely what stand out as outdated in games of today. They are too jaggy due to low resolution used for them. PC games have smoother shadows but now I'm glad it will be standard
