Even with a 70% fall in sales across the platforms, Tomb Raider still manages to hang onto the No1 spot. While PS3 exclusive God of War Ascension enters the chart at No2 having only managed to sell half as many copies as God of War III managed in it's first week.

Meanwhile, Forza Horizon shows it can still burn rubber having remained in the top 20 since release.

Is anyone surprised? Not only did GoW get a digital release whereas III didn't, it's a prequel, so was bound to do less.

Makes sense Tomb Raider is a return to form, the original TR was #1 for 5 months in the UK
can't look at it negatively, TR deserves it
What is surprising is the 360 version being #1 as TR games have sold a lot better on the PS platform but that maybe because its the UK charts, worldwide maybe be different
Still good sales for both games, GOW:A needed to be GOW4 but I still think TR would have top it still.
And whats with the title of this thread, please don't say the op made that up, kinda fanboyish don't ya think..

Actually GOW could have outdone TR, afterall GOW3 beat FF13 when they released back in 2010 and FF is a bigger franchise than TR.

only slightly, TR, FF, MGS, RE are all in the same club
but at the moment TR is Squares big game until they make a decent FF
but you are right it could have, I actually think the lack of BC with PS4 is gonna effect PS3 games sells, I already heard people say they ain't buying anymore PS3 games because they want play on PS4, it's something Sony needs to fix soon, it may not be important in the long run but it will effect things now
