Here I go again with my crazy ideas
Considering the ps4 will allow for second screens (via smatphones, tablets, computers, or vita) would it be possible to use the same tech to allow for a second (or third!) TV to fulfill the same function? Assuming this feature will be controlled via an app, SMART tvs should be able to be used for the same function, or even if you have the ability to connect your device to a TV. Theoretically, you could even make such an app for a DMR like roku or apple tv. For those of you who may not understand the purpose of this, imagine having a screen twice (or three times) as large where your hud doesn't take over the whole screen, or being able to see more of the game world. This isn't stretching an image across multiple screens, it's more like adding another camera.
Take a look at the screenshots on these pages:
http://techreport.com/review/23217/t...aphics-cards/4
http://www.extremetech.com/gaming/14...d-at-5760x1080
view the full size image, zoom in to the center, and then zoom out to see what you're missing
Obviously, the resolution may not be the same (or could it? The radeon hd5870 that is said to be comparable to the ps4's GPU can handle this task) but the prospect is interesting, no? Even if it wasn't used for extending the game screen or in high resolution, I'd much rather have a 40+inch second screen than a 4 or 7 inch one.
Speaking of all of this, what do you guys suppose the resolution the ps4 will output for these seconds screens be? The native resolution of the device? Or will it be scaled?

Not sure if I follow you exactly but are you talking about streaming the game from your ps4 in one room to another tv in another. like the tv you play on wouldn't have to be connected directly to the ps4? or if you played say split screen one could play a full screen in one room and the other full screen in the other?

PS3 has done it with Gran Turismo 5 but the downer is each screen need its own PS3.

Forza 3 on Xbox 360 was the first time I saw multi-screen on a console. It also needed multiple consoles.
I can't wait until flexible thin-film LCD screens for living rooms become a reality. That way you could make one large curved screen to seamlessly envelope your view within the cockpit of your car.

Me too. But for now you could settle with this.

imagine having to actually TURN your body to see around you.
Or you could hope the Oculus Rift takes off

Technically possible but doubtful simply because of how diluted the processing power of the GPU would need to be to power such a setup. I have always considered multiple monitor setup's the realm of the high end PC enthusiast rather than something reasonable to the averege person.
