Because I would love both kinds...and an MMO will surely bring more profits for them.

What stops them from making more SP while maintaining an MMO? I would expect an MMO from almost all developers this generation.

It's like having a talk show while doing sporadic movie roles on the side. Talk show will bring more steady income.

I want more devs to incoporate creative new multiplayer options in their SP RPGs (ala Dark Souls)
    Fingers crossed

That's difficult and risky though. How many things can you do? The beauty of MMO is that it sells itself once more people join in. You're paying to play with others first and then the content.

White Knight Chronicles did it best.

It had a singleplayer, and its online mode was rather MMO like, since only your created avatar (which also appears in the story) could be used.

Now, if they simply marketed their next game as an actual MMO--that also happens to have a singleplayer, they could reach the success that White Knight Chronicles did not.

WoW had a single player as well as being an MMO game. it's definitely possible and I'd want it to be that way. either way, you are going to lose some things that are only possible in single player but they can easily implement both.

Start the show Level 5. They'll do work on the PS4. No doubt about it.
