nice... so it matches the ps4. If the no stall GPU with ps4 equivalent GPU is true then the consoles will be super close
I wonder when a nuclear warhead goes off, does the frame rate of real life drop?

Just more speculation. Guess we'll have to wait till April 27. Misleading thread title given this isnt a confirmed fact.

Yeah, I just found "HD 7790 is well placed to fight off competition from Nvidia's newly launched GeForce GTX 650" line in the article. Next Gen consoles are going to be miles ahead of my PC

The 7790 is more expensive than the 650Ti
versus the 650Ti boost well then thats more expensive.

I think that's a safe assumption. Can't see why they would fork out the money for 2 GPUs.

Not to mention making the console more expensive.

I dont know about it being in the final hardware given that the 7790 was in the Alpha kits.
"We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that (developers) want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so then the question is, what do you do for the rest of the nine-and-a-half years?"

7970 is almost as implausible. I've read that elsewhere today and I bet you did too.

    1/ Illumiroom
2/ Dual streaming, video output to ipad/mobile, 2nd screen to TV
3/ Reserving 1 GPU for compute, Kinect, and system graphics.

Plenty of reasons to make a 2x GPU system, all of which would fall nicely into MS's plans of making the system more than a simple games system.

In short if you can't have the family watching a movie, and another person playing Black Ops on their Ipad+720 controller, I'd be very surprised.

You just watch what MS does with smart glass tech.
