I still use DOS at work. It is mainly for BAT files, but we also have some programs that pop in and out of it.

I miss Snow Leopard, but I rather enjoy the cutting and pasting that was introduced in Lion. Lion sucks, though. Lion is like Apple's version of Vista... lol. Mountain Lion is good, though.

Win8 x64 for main machine and android jelly bean on tablet.
Win8 upgrade for ~30?€ was no brainer as Win7 home restricted memory use to 16GB, now I have all 18GB on use and might upgrade to 24GB. (Still hit memory wall when fiddling with photogrammetry..)

Actually, I use and love Windows 7 Home Premium. I used XP Home prior to Windows 7. Both are the 64bit versions, if it even matters.

I have a dual-boot WIN7 and Linux Suse laptop. I used to have it with Ubuntu but I had to put the Suse on for a class project (long story)and I'll be going back to that at the end of the semester. i never really like Suse while with Ubuntu I really had no problems with at all.

Snow Leopard OSX, except my Macbook is $#@!ed to shreds. I'm lucky to not get a kernel panic. The flip monitor is almost falling off...and I've had it since September 09'.

Windows 7 Pro 64-bit can handle up to 192GB of memory.

Currently use Win8 professional and it's been quite nice thus far. (got tired of the Win7 16GB memory limit and Win8 was cheap at the time.)

Windows 7 Home Premium's memory limit is 16 GB of RAM. Windows 7 Professional and above have a memory limit of 192 GB of RAM. Home Premium is crap and lacking many features for no apparent reason.

Windows 8 has a memory limit of 128 GB of RAM while Pro and Enterprise have a memory limit of 512 GB of RAM.

I always use the highest tier I can get of Windows because I hate missing features.

The 32-bit versions of 7 and 8 have a limit of 4 GB, which makes me cringe.

Fedora on my main PC and Windows 8 on my drawing Tablet, but only because I can not install Linux due to the clover trail CPU. Looking into replacing the tablet in the near future. Android on my phone.

May switch over to Ubuntu on my mobile if/whenever they get their $#@! together with their OS. We'll see.

PCs are very much like Air Conditioners.
They both become utterly useless once you start to open up Windows....

    Gentoo.
I switched from xp to ubuntu (worst GNU/Linux distro out there imho, scarcely better than windows), then switched to Debian for a couple of years because ubuntu is so buggy and do-release-upgrade breaks everything (just editing /etc/apt/sources.list in Debian upgrades flawlessly), Debian's much better in every way, then switched to Gentoo to try out portage. Gentoo's brilliant, wonderful tools, unbelievably fast and considering it's near bleeding edge, wonder of wonders it's very stable.
