    He had it coming lol.

Microsoft doesn't take stuff like this lightly. He would have been told not to say anything considering nothing has been confirmed and it will be seen to everyone as mixed messages coming from Microsoft which the company absolutely don't want to do anymore considering how many mixed messages have been given on various products in the past.

Can't take that back. I don't think he should've "resigned", but he should know jest or no jest, what you shouldn't say on the internet. Can't say I'm surprised MS would not want to be associated with him.
Exactly. This is how I see it. What he said initially was not a problem for me. His arrogant statements after was what got me. He acted like a child with his opinion being God. He handled himself very unprofessionally. As a person that is publicly related with MS you can't go about acting like a child on a subject that relates to your company. A professional person would have just shrugged it off and left it alone.

I don't think #dealwithit scandal is the reason he is fired... It is definitely a bad thing, not enough to make him fired.

I don't like seeing anyone lose their job but he brought this on himself by being so arrogant. I do feel bad for him though.

Not surprised this guy was let go. Even if he didn't mean it the way it sounded, you can't be a creative director and say stuff like that. he should of learned from the "things break" comment that Peter Moore made when he was there.

I think "things break" is a more valid point than just arrogantly saying "deal with it".

agreed. either way, being a creative director, or any kind of director for that matter, there are certain things you just don't do. that's just corporate common sense. i'm glad microsoft took action.

Pretty sure this would've been one big-ass strike either way.

it is but you just have to choose your words more carefully. Even though he addressed their actions for solutions he should of just left that part out because the media just blew it up. You can't just say crazy $#@! when you represent a product and not expect backlash. Reminds me of the crazy Ken days.

Yup, it's amazing how after so many cases of this, people still fail to realize there's some stuff you shouldn't tweet or post on FB. He basically wrote those negative articles himself. Sometimes you just gotta step away, and continue your day.

"Things break" was actually something the community supported. He was way honest and didn't hold back. We got tired of MS dancing around the RROD.

Not sure how that's honest...more like, lack of a better way to put it.

Things do break but not as bad as they were. That's probably the worst way to conduct damage control.

Well MS would reply with stuff like "it's consistent with normal product failure rate statistics". Peter Moore acknowledged the concern that things were breaking. But better yet go check out the full comment and in context.

Yea except it's not consistent with normal product failure rate statistics. Maybe American? Possibly. Chinese? Likely.

Here's the full comment, "I can't comment on failure rates, because it's just not something - it's a moving target. What this consumer should worry about is the way that we've treated him. Y'know, things break, and if we've treated him well and fixed his problem, that's something that we're focused on right now. I'm not going to comment on individual failure rates because I'm shipping in 36 countries and it's a complex business."

Don't see how it's any different in the full context. What am I missing?

But of course we all know that RROD was not consistent with normal product failure rate statistics otherwise MS wouldn't have spent a billion dollars on free repairs. http://www.computerworld.com/s/artic...t_more_than_1B

That's why I never liked that guy...all he had to say something along the lines of "It's our top priority" "Our apologies to those who are affected" etc. Not "Ya know, things break" lol. Man I'd be so pissed if Kaz had said something like that.
