I like the game but the gameplay is VERY one dimensional. You literally do not gain any new abilities iirc and you do the same thing over and over in new areas.

However the character (Prince and Elika) are very likable. Nolan North steals the show once again.

And dat ending. I can understand why some will be pissed at the ending but I loved it

I would have to add Rage to the list, the game looks like painting at times.

I really hope that virtual texturing would become more widely used next generation, there are some very interesting advantages on using it. (IE. ~300MB is enough for 'infinite' texture resolution for 1080p. (with 10 texture channels))

    yeah, that one

quite an enjoyable game, some people didn't enjoy it as much though, but meh, their criticisms were weak
I checked out the videos of VC on youtube and i didn't know that the game had pretty strategic missions and some long fights.

I like that. I don't like easy games. Only issue I have with the game is that you can't really explore it like a normal RPG, it's mission-to-mission but I'm over this now, not many good games out there.

    Isn't ascension a PSP port?

Valkyria Chronicles is a literal gem from this generation of drab and dreary shooters.

the art style is beautiful (the word cannot be stressed enough). the story...lets go for endearing, and the gameplay is immensely deep (strategy, plays a big role on the battlefield as its turn based - i love strategy games)

if you go in for a fun and jolly game you will not be disappointed

a word of warning though, don't let enemies reach downed squad members, otherwise that's it for them forever. i lost one of the extra characters to a really stupid move
Blacksite would not have approved of the loss and would probably have perma banned me

I really need to play this game. But first I have to put my son up for adoption. They two can't happen together.
