What's that you say? COD doesn't require skill? Welcome to HC S&D.

    Go on, prove me wrong.

Any game that only has 1 health per round will always require skills, because people will play smart. Rainbow six vegas, socom, cs:go and hc s&d in cod4 were the best skilled games I've played this gen

You mean, the same way people who try to beat Ghost-n-Gobblins after a hundred trial-n-error mistakes and eventually know exactly where enemies would appear from and know exactly what to do in advance?

Please, go on lol. You think I don't play those games muahhahahaha. Not to mention, I'm playing against human beings so it's always going to be random even if majority of that's predictable because we're predictable beings.

No no sir, please do go on I say :P

The way I see it is this.

Less health = less consistent aim needed since it takes fewer bullets to kill enemy.

I noticed there is a built in hack on one of the guns, shows up a diamond on the head.

    Amazing "skill" there.

True but at the same time, it requires quicker aim and more quick movements. I do better in regular and find more challenge in hardcore. Very difficult to survive in hardcore.

The diamond thingy is for camp-hunting but can be used in other situations. I do think it's a little overpowered but I also use many other weapons, including snipers.

EDIT: Not to mention, many people use the target-finder but don't know how to use it well or anywhere like I do it...I've seen a few do it this way but it's not easy to do so. You have to be extremely accurate and mobile to be good at it.

Like I was saying, if you want to prove me wrong then play the game, play hardcore S&D (heck, play regular mode S&D, I don't care) and show me how easy this game is as I would expect you to show something better than what you're seeing here.

As it does not require "skill".

P.S. BF3 is several times easier than this btw.

    Skill is diverse.

    Aiming is a skill
map knowledge - Knowing where enemies will congregate and the popular thoroughfares is a skill.
Throwing a random grenade into those thoroughfares and bases is a skill (believe it or not)
    Spawn killing is a skill
Using the best weapon for the job is a skill even though many will call you a "nooob" (why hinder yourself with inferior equipment.)

Some people prefer more carnage and +attack than sneaky, sneaky however that doesn't mean that running around and ownaging people doesn't need thinking, strategy and tactics.
The speed at which a game is played has no effect on tactics.

Because I play both games and it seems like you don't play COD and I know you play BF3 so I wanted to bring some relevance into this.

I find BF3 way easier than this mode. Even if you play BF3 aggressively, especially regular mode, you can literally kill a bunch of people before dying, due to regen.

You can kill the entire game without getting hit once because you can play in ways where you don't have to even be in anyone's target. Whereas in COD, it's anyone's game, you do one thing wrong, you're dead.

I prefer hardcore in BF3 as well.

Haven't played BF3 for about 2 months it started to annoy me too much.

    I also play
    Quake live
    HL2DM
    Adrenaline gamer 2

Which I think require far more skills (plural) than any and all cods and Battle fields put together.

Last COD I bought was COD 4 on PS3 which was a big mistake if I bought it on PC I would probably played it alot more than I did.

Sure there's skill involved, but I think I would fall asleep playing this game.

I totally agree with you (I've played Quake 3, CS) but that's not my point. My point is that people say COD does not require skill at all and while they're also right lol, it's not all true. The game does have depth, just that it's difficult to find it. But yea, it is mostly for newbies.

Just the fact that some people are better than some people prove that skill is involved.

Everything requires skill. Back when I was addicted to Black Ops Gun Game I was playing it so much I got to the point were I was winning EVERY single game I played comfortably without breaking a sweat. I knew every single map inside out, knew the spawning spots and the routes people would take the most.

..however I took a break for a few weeks and suddenly I was the $#@!test player again.
    Trophy-licious!

It definitely requires skill in all modes, you're always going against someone who's been practicing more, has a better loadout. I've got three loadouts well thoughtout but I still can't get two of them right.

MW1 was much simpler than BO2.

The small learning curve of CoD is its big advantage. Anyone can immediately feel powerful and are encouraged to continue playing. However any game requires skill to be at the top.
