To help improve the functions of the site, there will be a downtime for about 1 hour, 8am EST Tuesday 30th, This is hopefully going to get rid of the recent lag issues. We are adding a new server to help with the traffic.
Thank you for your patience and understanding

Thread: Server downtime
Thank you itachi
Chille, did the thumbs down have anything to do with the errors? Idk if it was the timing of the feature being added back but it seems like the problems started shortly after it was added back.

Thanks for the update chillie! I'm hopeful this fixes recent issues its effecting my time on the forum as of late
I was going to post this, but damn Jury Duty took up my day LOL
At any rate, no the errors were happening well before the dislike being added, it was just coincidence. The feature was always there, just the button was disabled.
If this new server stabilizes the site, then it is likely the plug ins we have ARE a problem due to some whacked out math load on the server. If we are still unstable after the server is boosted, we will disable all the plug ins and see if that clears it up. If it does, then likely they are gone... meaning points, shop, RPG, etc...We will find new, hopefully more scalable plug ins to replace the stuff we kill. If the new server comes on, all issues still there after the plug ins are removed (disabled) then we will have to consider other options to repair the site code... meaning either a complete enema and go to another software solution, or upgrade to vbulletin 5.0 to see if that stabilizes the site.
We are also trying to get more direct control over our tech side of the house... a lot of delays are caused by email and conversations to figure out stuff.
Don't take this as gospel, but this should be how it progresses from this point on.LMAO
