    Time

Yeah so I barely make threads to talk about something but this has come across my mind for some time now.
Time. There are only 24 hrs in a day. Would you say you make the most of it? Is it too little? Just enough to go by?
IMO I think it goes by to fast that I just don't have enough time. Even when I think I do the days over before I know it. Your guys thoughts?

Sometimes I feel there is not enough time, other times I feel like there is too much. All depends on what I am doing that day.

I work hard to support my family, and it is very rare that I sit down at night feeling like I did not make the most of it.

For example, I wish I had more time to stare at your avatar, but I don't.

It depends on what I'm doing. Sometimes I feel like I don't have enough. Other days I feel like I have too much and nothing to do.

I'm sure if I didn't play video games, browse the internet or watch TV I could master many skills but I haven't. I wouldn't know what sort of skills to learn honestly. If I were really ambitious I could use my extra time in the summer to do research and reading on topics relating to my major in college and master a lot of things before the fall semester starts. I probably waste a lot of time doing things that aren't all that productive or bettering myself in terms of knowledge or physically but eh.

Focus. Control. Conviction. Resolve. A true ace lacks none of these attributes. Nothing can deter you from the task at hand except your own fears. This is your sky.

People being late pisses me off.

I find I have little to do and lots of time to do it in.

At work once, they handed me this attendance sheet and the only times I wasn't late was when I didn't come in.

I sure wish there were 30 or so hours in a day. Then I wouldn't have to feel bad about all the time I waste sleeping and daydreaming. Which is most of the day.

I wake up alot earlier on weekends now, just so I can get more out of it as they seem to just fly by so quickly. I have also been able to change my hours at work so that I get off earlier so I can have a bit more time at home.

I try not to pay much attention to time. I just focus on the present and what I'm doing now. The future is now.

    Time.

    What IS time?

Seriously, though, time just constantly amazes me. As Lethal has said, some days it can just fly by, and others it can just seem to drag. I don't like wasting time at all, I feel like I have to be doing something at all times of the day. So if I'm not at the office, then I'm at home cleaning or out with my little girl.

What I can safely say though is that watching my little girl grow up so fast is both scary and amazing at the same time. I just wish I could turn back the clocks and relive the entire experience again.

Loyalty to petrified opinion never yet broke a chain or freed a human soul.

Time, what a $#@! its being. I made a thread on here a long time (no pun) ago about how time seems to be getting faster and faster the older you get. Good lord, its just keeps speeding up more and more every month and week. Its actually becoming a little scary because I blink and the day is over at this point. Its gotten to the point now that I feel like I can't get as much done in a day that I used to be able to. I don't know why but its not just the perception of time, but actual time itself that feels faster. It could be that I have just changed (like think too much, linger on stuff too long, or have a mild form of OCD that times up time) but its still a mystery as to whether time is just something that speeds up as you grow older, or its actually becoming faster.

Of course there are times where time goes slow (work) and then insanely fast (play) and then days that feel fast and very few days that are slow. I noticed the longest days for me now are days when I'm not watching the TV period or using a computer. This is not surprising as both these things warp time. A day can feel quite long when not doing those things and doing all sorts of activities that are different and unique to stretch it.

I actually think about different configurations of each day and what would be the most efficient. 16 hours of being awake and 8 sleeping is standard for me but sometimes having 18, 20, or more would be better. You would sleep longer afterwards to keep the sleep debt to 0 but bigger chunks might have advantages. Some days I wish there was 1,000,000 hours in a day and time would just freeze so I could get to years worth of backlog and then continue forward!

Final Fantasy IX is without question not only the best video game ever made, but the best entertainment created by mankind.

^^ Perception of time changes while you grow older.

When young it feels like you have all the time in the world to do something. Everything is about the future, plan for the future, taking big decisions about the future. Marriage in the future, kids in the future.

You grow older and the future becomes the present. You have more things to fill the day with, sudden and urgent problems to deal with. Might have kids and more responsibilities. You are practically living in your old self's future.

A solution is to fill our present with strong memories, excitement, adrenaline, importance, weirdness etc. we get sucked into a routine and life gets a lot smaller.

What?! Unless you can reduce the speed at which the Earth rotates you can’t do that... never mind people agreeing to it.

A bad Joke? That’s like saying you think we can live in 2D...

Back OT: I wish I could say I make the best use of my time but often I don’t. Between work, family, friends, eating and, sleeping... I don’t have a lot of free time to play with. I’m either watching films, painting, reading or gaming. I don’t do a lot of gaming between March and October... Too many other things going on and no good games are released. I spend more time on this forum than gaming... But probably because I visit this site mainly at work :P I don’t really watch TV... only when i'm spending time inside with the missus.

I agree with the people that have said the older you get, the faster time seems to pass. The thing I hate most is that I feel like it passes around me and I just stand still I don’t want to wake up at 50 with nothing to my name

Now that I think of it, perception of time is all that matters and determines whether it does go fast or not. Your perception is everything, it doesn't matter what is true but that to humans. Changing your perception to time going slower is the answer to make it slower.

I don’t want to wake up at 50 with nothing to my name
