I'm still not sold on it. Something just rubs me the wrong way with this title. I'll prob buy the ps4 version when it's $30.

Destiny and Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor is all I need for the rest of the year.

    WATCH_DOGS Free-Roaming Preview

    Hey All!

IGN released a new preview showcasing the free-roam experience in WATCH_DOGS. Keep in mind this is still a pre-alpha build, but nonetheless it still looks amazing!

You can watch it here: http://www.ign.com/videos/2013/05/10...oaming-preview

What are some things you're expecting to see in WATCH_DOGS that previous open-world vigilante games have failed to deliver?

WATCH_DOGS is slated for release on November 19th, 2013 on both next-gen and current-gen.

I have to say this title has grown on me. I'm fairly certain I'll buy it at launch. The ease of hacking makes the gameplay possibilities staggering..as shown in the clips. This 100+ story based missions, along with all the side missions that will be available..count me in. Not to mention the game looks and behaves beautifully.

I don't really need a water cooler/remote control as of right now.

The whole hecky techy part of it has sold me, but the whole game has me wondering the replay value... Will this be another Assassin Creed, but with tech as your assassin tool...

So the replay value will be really really low... But i am hoping this is not the case

This is no where like GTA, it is just plain AC like claud mentioned. I don't care replay value but I expect a good storyline from this kind of game.

Likewise friend, a great storyline does sell a great game and gets you involved over and over again

But the fun is in replay and i for one would like that.... But i am sick and tired off the comparison with GTA

when both games are by far so different

    Here's what I think ...

Assassin's Creed came to the market offering up this vast open world where you could tackle a situation in any number of ways: you could jump off of a tower make a dramatic entrance, run straight, or go under the guard's radar and secretly accomplish your mission. The problem, though, is that in reality there didn't end up being that many different ways to do things. Assassin's Creed's storyline is so tightly structured that there wasn't really any substantial opportunities to complete missions in a variety of ways. From my experience, anyway.

Watch Dogs offers a little bit more, I think, with the combination of driving, shooting, hacking, and sneaking. With that I think we can expect greater re-playability from Watch Dogs. Whether it'll be slightly or substantially greater, obviously I don't know.

Really looking forward to this one, regardless of re-playability. I don't have the time to play through a game several times anyway, so I'm just looking for titles that offer a good storyline and something unique. Watch Dogs is doing just that, from the looks of it.

    PS4 has a 'Y' button?

i hope it isn't another Assassins Creed. the game nonetheless looks phenomenal, a cohesive story would do this game solid!

I'm not seeing much assassins creed in this, not sure what you guys are seeing. I see more of a GTA title, with "radio towers" of Far Cry 3 (and obviously the AC equiv).

I am to and i stated it will be freaking awesome... But it does nibble at the back off one's mind on how they can not have a wee bit off A.C attached without it being attached

If you know what i mean

Ubisoft and like other promise the good promise. But more than none, they promise an half full glass

Watching the vids made me think a few things.

The CVG guys mentioned that we do no need to press a button to duck or enter cover its automatic. It better be good or I can see major issues with this system, automation is a pain in the arse and takes control away from the player, its like playing Gran Turismo with a an auto gearbox or using auto weapon switch in an FPS game.

I'm interested to see if they can pull through on the hype that has been built up for this title. Ubisoft are usually the first to jump and support any system with loads of average titles but takes a long while until the quality can be brought up in the sequels.
