It is bad enough, that many can't even drive right and add texting on top off that... It's insane

this is why we need to regulate and ban/restrict high capacity cellphone. Nobody need this type of cellphone to call their family or love one, and if u have one it need to be locked away from children. I know it won't prevent dumb teenager from texting but we can cut down the death count, am I right? Let start:
1.) Universal background check for cellphone purchase, ie. if u are an extrovert type = no phone for u. If u like writing or posting a lot = no cellphone for u.

2.) Limit "high capacity" data transfer to 1MB and texting to 5 words a day.

3.) if u wear glasses and get caught texting = aggravated FELONY.

4.) No high capacity battery life either this cause longer time on the phone = bad while driving.

5.) All touch phones all banned.

Don't worry there will be hundreds of phone that will be exempt like the Nokia 90's line up and this one here:

And quite frankly ^that all anyone need, how many more innocent lives are going to die until we say enough is enough!

They should also crack down on people who put on make up in the mirror or other multi tasking while driving.

No text is important enough for me to bother reading it until I've stopped driving.

I tried texting on the bike a couple of days. lol
I had already written the sms, all I needed to do was to click the send button.
It turns out using two hands is critical in keeping a bike going forward.

Fact: Sweden is the only EU territory where talking without a handsfree and sending SMS is still legal!

As a motorcyclist anything car drivers do gets under my skin, this just takes the biscuit and how it's not been banned before now is a mystery to me. If you talk on a hands free kit your mind is on the conversation not driving. If you hold the phone it takes away one hand. Then texting is the same but it takes your eyes off the road as well! How is that not worse??

Motorcyclist should also be required to wear a helmet. It is sad how many deaths can be prevented just by wearing a helmet and other safety gear.

Txting while driving will not get banned because people will be "oh why not ban talking and driving, drinking(non alcohol) and driving, etc" People just are lacking common sense now a days.

Not going to lie, i'm really bad for texting whilst driving. I won't make a phone call but i'll still text, even though it is considerably worse. Then again, it is hardly the worst thing I do whilst driving.

Old habits die hard I guess.

I know it's bad and I do know I shouldn't do it but I am guilty of it. I'm a big hypocrite too cause I get mad when I see people talking on them when I'm equally as bad!

Yeah, I hate when people text and drive. No text is important enough to have you take your eyes off the damn road. Whatever the $#@! it is can wait.

Still, people do all sorts of ridiculous stuff when driving. I was behind a lady putting eye-liner on whilst going down the M5 once as well as being overtaken by a guy rolling a roll up.
