    Xbox One & PS4: A possible Symbiosis?

I just had a thought - with the way the PS3 and 360 having HDMI (CEC) control (device powering up when turning on the tv and vice versa); and with the Xbox One having an HDMI-in; would it be possible (?) to say "Xbox, switch on PS4"?

Well maybe not using Kinect, but I wonder with the XBone being a pass-through service/functionality, this may be a possibility?

I reckon it'd be cool; watch Sky Sports/NFL (still holding out hope this happens for AU/NZ gamers but not particularly hopeful) then when done, switch over to inFamous or DriveClub.

    Thoughts.

    MS will block it.

I doubt Microsoft would be okay with that since they are the competition, but it would be nice. Anyways, I remember when Apple iPhone's Siri told people Windows Phone was the best. It would be funny if you asked Kinect what the best console was and it told you "Playstation 4."

Yeah I remember that too, and Siri said (at the time) that the Nexus 4 was.

I'm not entirely sure (obviously- and to be fair, most don't apart from MS themselves - but that's what threads are for right? ) how it would work but if it were, how would MS block the PS4's signal? If the way that current CECs work is to simply receive the signal (granted an HDCP signal).

This would only increase sales, so I don't see why not.

You'd think Microsoft would block that. "Xbox turn on my PS4 so i can actually play some games" would be an insult to the company.

Maybe through Kinect, but how would they do it if you were to do it manually? I assume the PS4 doesn't have a special signal. And if it does, how would MS get a hold of it?
