    CCP Remnant on armour and secondary weapon skills

    Some interesting info from CCP Remnant.

    On armour:
    We'll be addressing armor tanking with multiple updates going forward:
    - New armor modules will be released with the Uprising 1.2 patch:
    - Ferroscale plates (smaller HP buff but no speed penalty)
    - Reactive plates (small HP buff and minor repair rate buff - plates that heal themselves! )
    - We'll be reducing the movement speed penalty slightly on armor plates in a future hot-fix.
    - Giving proper racial bonuses! The reason the Gallente don't get (the very obvious) bonus to movement speed when armor tanking at the moment is because we use a tag system to confer bonuses to items and currently there is no way to exclude an item from getting a bonus. The only way to do this would be to tag EVERYTHING in the game that isn't the Gallente suit with a tag, which is error-prone and likely to ensure we unintentionally screw up some unrelated skill at some point. This will be corrected as soon as is feasible.
    Ooh me and my Gallente armour logi will be awaiting that racial bonus. Plus an innate bonus reduction...and Ferroscale/Reactive Plates om nom nom.

    On secondary wapon skills:
    Part of the reason we moved to the per-weapon skill tree was so that we could give weapon-specific skills. Due to time constraints at the end of last release we didn't get to "personalize" them as much as we'd like (using percentage bonuses instead of single round bonuses for weapons with smaller capacities like the Swarm Launcher, for instance).

    Rest assured, we'll be addressing these secondary skills as soon as we can. It's not ideal and I apologize for that, but we are fixing it.

    Yeah I can't wait to see the speed difference all of those changes are made. Really looking forward to seeing the reactive plates too...More HP regen!

    I requested a respec ticket because I went into sheilds just for the regen purposes, but if they are making modules like that then Im going all armour and armour repair after my respec. Im just gonna let the OMEGA booster beef up YBG and play on YTS until it happens.

    I submitted it Thursday. So I have a while until I get it. I'm skill capping YGB right now. Have about 45k left. So I'll be able to get that Sunday pretty quickly. Then play on YTS again and skil cap him.

    Hmm, I hope you gt it...IIRC the cut off date for respecs was the 31st of May.
