I've heard it's good and I've even watched a couple episodes before but don't remember much about it (just the premise and "Castiel"). Recently, I thought I would start from the beginning.

Does anyone here still watch the show? I've read that the main storyline concluded with season 5 but it's been renewed for a 9th season.

Like although im doing absolutely nothing with my life right now I still don't think im motivated to watch a show as long as that show.

Doctor Who is really good if you can get past the really shitty beginning of it. When it gets to like season 5 it's amazing

I was besotted with that show. So soon as they started basing the show on angels and God and all the crap, the show turned to shit. They should have just stayed as demon and monstr hunter. Also, it wasalways the same...

You can watch it up to Season 5 if you like but just stop there. It really should've just ended

Try it. I couldn't stand the first couple episodes but I wanted to give it a good shot since it's so acclaimed. By Ep 6 I was like "Ok, now there's a storyline here worth watching."

I want to reiterate this post. This is what it turns into somewhere around season 4-5. Anyway, I haven't watched the show in a while and likely won't come back.

Im a huge fan of Supernatural, infact its one of the few shows still airing new episodes I go out of my way to tune in. I would recommend it to just about anyone with alot of time to catch up.

Its true Season 5 is when it "ended", but Season 6 wasnt that bad. Season 7 on the other hand, was a giant turd. Season 8 its clear they got a bigger budget and its back to being good.

I agree Tennant was a good doctor. it's just his episodes don't have as great production as Smith's episodes. also the writing and the story is better in Smith's episodes.

If Tennant had quality episodes like Smith does, i'd say that it gets good from Season 3

Disagree just so much right now. Tennant was amazing because of him as an actor and the story arcs. Come on dude, BAD WOLF!

And since it was mentioned twice now, budget don't mean shit if the writing is crap or bad. The show got a bigger budget/production and this season is just meh. I feel bad for clara.

So much THIS. The season with the Leviathans made me want to punch myself in the head (at least I could still ogle Dean) but I was surprised because I actually liked this latest season, or at least it wasn't bad. (Which is saying a lot considering the last few seasons...)

I'm a fan of Supernatural too and still watch it.

I liked the Angels/God mix tbh. I even liked the first season of Dr Who and the first Doctor.
