Well either way it looked open to me.

Yea man, let's just call horror movies comedies from now on. Hipsters ftw.

(Steampunk is a 19th century theme with the inclusion of science-fiction steam machinery, this game has none of it. The weapons are either standard end-of-the-19th-century guns with a twist, or electrically driven guns, which theoretically could have been plausible during that time. This is what the developers themselves have pointed out, I'm sure they know what they're talking about)

There was a subway system above his head in Whitechapel, and you only noticed the walkie talkie XD The subway concept existed in its earliest form at the end of 19th century, which is why they've included it. I'm sure that's the case with the walkie talkie as well.

You're missing my point. They're not by any means trying to be historically accurate, they're just including machinery and weaponry that basically only existed on paper in the 19th century, with their own added twists. And earlier concepts of mobile communication did exist in the 19th century.

    Watch this

If you still don't understand the setting/theme, then there's really not much else I can explain to you. What I've explained is pretty much what this guy is saying, just formulated differently.

    You think I'm a hipster....okay.

And I'm sure they do know what they're talking about. But I'm still going to call it steampunk.

This looks really nice...if that is representative of gameplay then I want to see more.

It also looks like a mash up of Bioshock and Gears of War...which is a very good thing.

I could definitely see something like Left4Dead in this game. That would be amazing in my opinion.

I'm in love with the premise and artwork of this game. IMO it is steampunk. Can't wait to see some actual gameplay footage. Hopefully we don't have to wait too long for this!

I can't wait to see some gameplay from this one. I got some Dishonored vibes when watching the E3 trailer. And I agree with those of you that think this is Steampunk. If it's not, then it's as close to Steampunk as you're gonna get without it being that.

Basically a re-imagining of the world powered by steam instead of electricity.

Very interested to see how a predominantly handheld developer makes the transition.

    Yup, quite nice concept.
Actually been wondering if simple steam powered calculus device would be possible with 3d printed parts..

I agree with the steampunk thing, and in a great way. I only recently started checking this game out, I can't believe I didn't give it a look before. Looks amazing! Added to my must have list!
