    The motion blur in the demo was overdone and looked weird. I hope they fix that.

    Depends what is the problem, didn't see any big technical problems with the effect from youtube video perhaps due to crappy quality .
    Any problem with blur length or duration is simple artistic choice which doesn't need programmer to fix.. (ie. 180 or 360 degree shutter.)

    I haven't really been paying all too much attention to this title... Just now watched the trailer in the OP for the first time. Definitely not what I had in mind when I thought of this game. Visually speaking, it does look wonderful, and it seems like they'll be getting creative with weapon variety ... just in that short trailer the guy pulled out what looked like 3-4 different weapons. That's a good start in my books.

    Oh, and by the way...

    Posts like "I was going to respond to this, but..." and "agreed look at his posting history" are completely unnecessary and they've all been deleted. If you can think of one good reason why those comments needed to be in the thread instead of, you know, simply debating the fact that he's saying Xbox One games look superior... PM me and we can talk further.

    You don't see through him at all? It's like he's not even trying to hide it!

    OT: I agree with you Schaffin, the fact that there seems to be many different weapons totally ups the excitement for me.

    What I'm most amazed by though is how alive everything feels. It doesn't just feel like a stupid video game world, VISUALLY. Like for example, when you look into the windows of all the houses they ride past, you get a feeling that that house is alive, and not just a cardboard box with painted windows on it.

    Yeah, I agree so far as the liveliness of the world are concerned. I think that's something we're going to see a lot more of this generation. While the living, breathing atmosphere of the world are definitely inspired by more than just visuals, the graphical capabilities at the disposal of developers in the upcoming generation will make the creation of such environments considerably easier. Battlefield 4, for example... that world is so vibrant and alive.

    It's not about platform, if you want to compare visual fidelity you compared across all games shown. The subjective part in that comparison arises mostly from the artstyle but other technical aspects can be analyzed objectively.
    He mentioned Ryse which is a good looking game (with duplicates and prerendered scenes according to DF) but when he says that dead rising looked better than Infamous SS, (a member actually posted a picture of it to show just how current gen dead rising looks) then you realize that the argument not going to go anywhere because obviously he doesn't see the clear reasons why dead rising pales in comparison

    Yeah, I too thought the motion blur would an easy fix. But KungMartin gave the impression he may better know otherwise so I figured I wouldn't argue.

    I hope next gen games get a setting to adjust motion blur. The motion blur can be really buggy for my eyes if not done right.
