    Just after 1:50

I think this is proof that they are not reversing their always-online stance for the Xbox One. Kudos to Dorito Pope for actually throwing a hardball after he said that.

Simple as that. Saying half of your install base "Go $#@! off" is not a very smart move...

So there really going ahead with this always online thing, crazy. I always have an internet connection but they still haven't told why an always online console is gonna make things better?

But they never said that. They said they have a new console and that the things they want to do means they have to go in a certain way.

If you want to game off line or not be connected, try the 360.

Check the interview with Mattrick on GT, it's not rocket science.

just like Kinect, if you want to make use of something. it has to be part of all consoles.

feel sorry for those that game on nuclear subs though.
I heard this kind of arrogance before in 2006, except it was made by Sony fans. How time time have change..

They mentioned that always online is gonna authenticate games every 24 hours. But I'm failing see how that is gonna improve my gaming experience. Has it got something to do with the cloud? If everyone is forced to have an internet connection then more games can use the extra processing power.

Really, can't remember. Sony saying the cloud would help enable better games back then.

You are like many other's in that you simply want to bash MS without listening to what they have said.

Would I be right in thinking you live in a nuclear sub?

Once again, they want to move forward and use the cloud. For it to work they need all Xbox One owners to access said cloud.

they gave you other options if all you want to do is game off line and play second hand games.

I'm not understanding why this is a problem.
Just don't buy is the simplest of solutions.

I remember "Crazy" Ken talking about the CELL and being able to distribute processing tasks across the network to other CELL processors, but I think it was mis-quoted and he was referring to the @Home project.

I have nothing against always online since my consoles are connected anyway. People were against broadband and said it wasn't needed, but it turned out ok. I think they are just looking ahead to the future and it's a smart idea.

I don't have a problem with always online for online features, not for restrictions.

While I agree that most people have decent internet now, the problem is that 24 hours check in...even with my Verizon FiOS I was down on my internet for a couple days because the power supply in my ONT decided to explode, so I had no TV, no internet, nothing for 48 hours, so to pass the time I played several single player games, which with the XB1 I wouldn't be able to do after 24 hours, which is bull$#@!...

It' sucks but i can deal with it. I don't trade games and I prefer my titles to be digital.

I hope those games you played were portable because you said you had no TV, unless I'm reading it wrong.

I had power at the house, just no FiOS TV service or internet, the FiOS ONT (Optical Network Terminal) power supply in my garage decided to blow out.

If you have a tethering phone it would get you through that situation.

But if someone is stressed about being online and connected, the X1 isn't the choice for you, don't buy one if if it's so important to be offline.

Think he meant his TV service wasn't working.

Got to laugh at the people defending them, it's like they've gone into full blown denial over how bad all this truely is. There is so many ways Microsoft could've gone about it, but this...this is just atrocious!
