Mike’s life has been forever changed by his accident. Mike will incur loss of income and increased living expenses as a result of his injuries. Mike’s tragic story has made news headlines around the globe. Mike’s heroic act has brought an outpouring of desire to help Mike in his time of need.

Facebook, for all its faults and flaws, is an excellent way of raising awareness for causes like this. I can totally get on board with you regarding 15-year old girls posting details of their abortion or one-night stands or whatever, but stuff like this is an excellent idea.

I know he was trying to help but this is just bugging me. Why the hell would you //dive// into a creek? Creeks are almost never that deep and it's stupid to assume it'd be safe to do so.
