On June 8, 2013, Mike Patterson severed his spine after he dove into a creek in Rockmart, Georgia to save a stranger's child from drowning. Mike was left paralyzed after his effort to rescue the four-year-old girl.

Facebook, for all its faults and flaws, is an excellent way of raising awareness for causes like this. I can totally get on board with you regarding 15-year old girls posting details of their abortion or one-night stands or whatever, but stuff like this is an excellent idea.

Look guys i love the fact that social media does raise awareness and fights against bulling, health issues and Global hatred... But that is all covered up and hidden away
