Nothing really new here, except maybe the name of the type of gpu involved. However, that doesn't really make any difference. What environment are they running the Xbox One game on, and how is that environment limiting the actual hardware usage?

Of course they were on dev kits. Anything shown at E3, regardless of platform, was a dev kit.

And whats up with the Nvidia GPU? Dont they trust the one AMD made for them? So these weren't even devkits.

So what, is the idea that these GTX780s as well as whatever else is inside the Desktop emulates the theoretical performance of the finalized Xbox One?

I dunno if that's a good thing or bad thing lol. In the sense that, does it really matter? I mean it's safe to say that the games shown won't look any better, but is it safe to assume they won't look any 'worse' too?

It could mean they wont run as smooth or at the same frame rate or at that resolution the demo was running or all 3 at once.

I deleted the BF thread. This is far more informative and up-to-date.

Very likely the boxes next to the PC are the actual dev units and the PC is for debugging. Gizmodo stated when they peaked in one of the Xbox One demo cabinets at E3 they saw a laptop, so not every Xbox One game is using this same PC.

    http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2013/06/i-...es-of-nothing/

Edit: Looks like the box by the PC is just a box that contained the headsets used for the demo units.

Anyway, isn't the 780 GTX, like 2-3x more powerful than what's the Xbox one packing?

    EDIT:
Actual Xbox One: 1.2 TFLOPS GPU
NVidia 780 GTX: 4 TFLOPS GPU
