In terms of control, weight, and the feel of the guns when firing, did Shadowfall feel more reminiscent of Killzone 2 or Killzone 3?

Did Knack feel like a likely alternative to sleep medication, or was it actually fun to play?

Killzone: Shadowfall - Not really sure, I'd have to probably say Killzone 2, I haven't played much of Killzone 3 so I don't remember how it felt.

Knack - It's fun to play in my opinion.

The Wii U is current gen.

Awesome. I didn't like how light and floaty KZ3 felt, and was hoping Shadowfall fell back on KZ2's feeling more than the sequel.

And I'm glad to hear you enjoyed Knack. The game looked interesting but the one gameplay video I saw looked pretty boring. Thanks for the response!

The thing is about Knack is that it's one of those games that needed to be played rather than watched. When I first started playing it I wasn't enjoying it at all. However, after about 10 minutes of gameplay and the understanding of mechanics it started to become an interesting and fun experience that I am looking forward to at launch.

Which gameplay video are you talking about?

This is the demo that I have played in that same room where this was filmed/recorded.

That looks pretty cool! Has some katamari reference to it. I wanna see more...if they have big worlds and RPG elements...omg total buy.

Thanks for the response Savage, how is the weight of the controller? Is it similar to the DS3? Heavier?
PS3's first controller 'sixaxis' was way too light imo so hopefully it's not like that.

I think there are many other threads to discuss hardware and comparisons to other consoles...so let's stick to the topic please.

This is a question for both Savage and Kyle. Have you seen the share functionality in action? If so, how does it work?

Also, have you seen any games, apart from the PlayRoom tech demo, make use of the 'PlayStation App' for tablets and smartphones?

It's supposed to be very light, Read alot about it last night and it seemed that the majority of articles said it was to light and ergonomics wise was behind the Xbone pad...but apart from those two things it's supposed to be great.

edit: just noticed Sash didnt like your question....hes going to hate my answer.

No no...when I say hardware I meant all the talk about consoles, 60fps etc.

I'm interested to know more about the controller anyway. Savage said it's one of the best he's used.

In Drive Club, does it feel like you have a goal to reach or is it more like cruising around, enjoying the environment?

The Share function was disabled in all of the demos in which I tried pressing it--nothing happened.

I didn't see any make use of the PlayStation App specifically, but a couple games (The Division, Watch Dogs) incorporated tablet functionality into their private screenings. These probably aren't through the PlayStation App, tho, just game-specific apps. Sorry!

i can tell just by looking at the dualshock 4 controller that it is most comfortable and better feel on hand than the dualshock 3. why? because the two ends where our palm holds is much longer in length.

also theres something about the dualshock 2 and 1 being more comfortable when hold than the dualshock 3 but i cant really tell what that made the dualshock 2 and 1 feel better than the dualshock 3 since the shape is similar.

generally dualshocks are better than bulky xbox controllers.

xbox controllers feels good on hand but when actually playing....... it feels clunky because of bad layouts. the left sticks is above the dpad which is unnatural to place our thumb in that direction since that direction of position does not sync well with out thumb grid. theres also a loop at the center of the sticks which even makes it unnatural feel when rotate the sticks around because it dont sync with our thumb grid! i know Wii U controller has left stick above the dpad as well but theres somehow feels better than xbox controllers and it doesnt have a loop on the center of the stick. xbox controllers are too heavy for gaming. the dpad is very clunky that you cant even play fighting games with it, you cant pull off any moves with the clunky ass dpad! theres many casual fighter more than hardcore so the majority wouldnt want to invest arcade sticks..... thats why tekken on xbox got many lower skilled player than on ps3 because most of them use the xbox controller. im one of the few that prefered a controller when playing fighting games and i kickass with it more than when in arcade sticks. dualshocks controllers just perfect for fighting game and everything else.

Wii U controllers got best feel of the 4 face buttons than both ps3 and xbox 360 controller..... it feels deep when you press..... and just feels good when pressed but overall dualshocks controllers is just well rounded for perfect gaming use.

i would like drive club to have focused race gameplay. i dont like to drive around with friends. i want competition race!

It's more focused on track/goal rather than casual driving. However, no matter how bad or good you drive in DriveClub you're always rewarded with points which allows players to drive the way they want too.

As for the controller, no I didn't get to test out the share function and haven't seen any examples of it either. I was more concerned about the games themselves and how they play rather than the share functionality. The controller feels perfect in terms of weight I would say its like the Dualshock 3 maybe a tiny bit heavier but that's about it.

Do you know if DriveClub features offline multiplayer/split screen racing?

Those who worry about crappy framerate, majority of the demos that I have tested are either 6 months old pre-alpha builds OR demos that have been put up super quick just for E3 purposes. How do I know this? I ask the developers as I play the demos/games how old the build is. Out of all the games Knack seems to be the most polished and clean, second would be DriveClub and third is Killzone: Shadowfall in my eyes. - So DO NOT worry about final releases they will be okay.
Any idiot (like me ) that has passable hearing and basic comprehension skills, access to podcasts, and has listened to Insomniac (or other dev podcasts, interviews etc) will know that the latter part is true.

I remember when Insomniac would be podcasting during their yearly cycles of Ratchet and Resistance, and they'd outline how difficult and time consuming it was to develop a game while SEPARATELY & SIMULTANEOUSLY try to also produce a demo suitable for showing to the mass public and media, for events like E3. And how it'd be based on an old build (sometimes near beginning build) of the game because there is a different team trying to package together the early build of the game while the actual development process of the game itself has far surpassed the demo.

Heck I'd say that you don't even need to have listened/read anything about the process of how game devs got though this, as it's pretty logical if you put aside the bias and really think about it... Thus I have no criticism of anything technical, by any developer (exclusive or otherwise) for shows liek E3 - especially for machines/platforms like PS4/XB1 which aren't even out yet...

So I don't really know why the hate and feigned "concern" apart form the usual idiocy of trying to talk down something for the sole purpose that it's not the console of your choice.
