    PS4 should get SWYPE

Typing messages on PS3 has always been a pain, it is slow and can be a hassle to respond to someone when in the middle of a game.

With the help of the touchpad PS4 can get around this and it looks like Sony have made the first steps by introducing the touchpad. As you can see from the image below.

But as we all know with smartphones SWYPE makes everything better.

What are your thoughts, SWYPE is a must IMO.

Seems like a genius idea to me.

Hope so. I thought about the possibility of using swype on the touch pad but it might be a little tough without a screen to look at. Hopefully it does come because I love it on my tablet. Even though it screws words up left and right.

No i took the pic from this video.

No PSEYE seen in it, also that'd be impossibly hard to use for such small buttons.

Great idea, now thanks to the touchpad, swype would be super helpful.

The way i see it with PS4 if you want to type hello, you move over to your first letter 'h' press the clickable button in and swype/move over the letters e, l and o without letting go of the button and without lifting your finger.

It will then bring up the word 'hello'.

You 'swipe' over the letters that make up the words, and it should grab the word. I'm a bit sloppy swyping on my phone and tablets, but even if you mess up, it's usually in a list of words to quickly select the word you meant to swype.

Google 'Swype Video' and I'm sure you'll find plenty of YouTube video's showing how it works.

I think that would be awesome. Don't think you'd HAVE to have the Playstation Eye either. They could hook the on screen keyboard to the motion sensors in the DS4 to let you highlight different letters and symbols. Let's hope! Otherwise, my DiNovo mini keyboard will still hook to it via Bluetooth so I'll be good. That thing has saved me a ton of time.

All you have to decide is what to do with the time give to you....

Im not to sure how swype would work on a touchpad...
On a touchscreen where u put ur finger or the letter it makes sense, but to swype on the controllers touchpad while looking at ur tv?
Id rather use the dpad lol.
PCs are very much like Air Conditioners.
They both become utterly useless once you start to open up Windows....

SWYPE is great on a touch screen but without the instant feed back of the screen it is almost pointless.

It's like games on Kinect, unless there is constant visual feed back it does work.
