Betrayer? It's all business my friend. I wouldn't be surprised if David Jaffe makes an exclusive game for Xbox One.

Is this because of Insomniac? They really didn't betray anyone since they're just 3rd party. If Ratchet & Clank or Resistance were to go to Xbox (which won't, Sony owns both IPs), that would be betrayal. They can pump out any new IP they want for Xbox though with no guilt whatsoever!

Square-Enix would be the closest thing to a betrayal I guess. They paid dearly though and are still paying thanks to old Wada(now fired) and trying to suck up to the west.

    Well deserved too.

Insominac just can't get that hit game that they want. It has been downhill since Resistence 2.

For these greedy companies Insominac, Square-Enix, and Konami. They think that by going multi-platform will earn them sales and make money. Who cares about Insominac craps that is only going to garbage Xbox or the other once? They will fail and so on. I agree with Kauldron and they all well deserved and I hope they will go bankruptcy.

Im in the minority here but Resistance 2 co-op was my favorite multiplayer experience on the PS3. Also Ratchet and Clank a Crack in Time came out after Resistance 2 and i loved that game. Everything after that though yeah i havent liked.

Resistance 2 kept true to it's mystery and story but fell flat on gameplay and level design (That leviathan level they hyped was a big heap of disappointment!) I agree that their online co-op was the most addicting multiplayer ever!. Very fun to play since almost everyone on my squad was a team player. Why the hell did they avoid this success in Resistance 3?! Imagine a deeper, comprehensive online co-op as survivors around the world! If I was a director and had creative control over the IP, I would make this a reality.

Krazy Ken. (I bet it was his idea re: the Xbox One's DRM policies. Luckily, they stopped listening to him).

Seriously? Bankrupt? That's a bit extreme. There only doing what they feel is best to their company. No big deal.

Lol @ betrayer. Unlike fanboys and fangirls, companies don't swear some ridiculous, undying loyalty to corporations. Multiplat is simply the best way to make money.

Betrayal indicates a change in loyalty. There is no loyalty in the business world. It's all about $$$.

Insomniac no more betrayed Sony than Bungie betrayed Microsoft. Ever dev has to make business decisions.

Betrayal would imply these developers had some sort of loyalty towards a corporation to begin with. Like I said, these companies don't care about things as silly as loyalty. Business is always business.

I love that Ken made the Playstation happen, but I am also glad he is no longer there! No telling what the PS4 would have been if he was still running the show, we would probably have a 32 core CELL Processor that would take someone with autistic level genius to program for it...

Pointless thread - Game dev's who aren't exclusive have every right to take a high dollar funding to go exclusive to a console. They're basically Merc's, there allegiance is to whomever is paying them that day. It's not a betrayal until they break there current contract and jump sides.

    Wow, just wow.

Soooo, you feel that Square-Enix should be a Nintendo exclusive publisher and never gone multiplatform, which is the ONLY reason their games began appearing on the Playstation in the first place?

And you think Konami should never have started going multiplatform and stuck with producing games exclusively for Atari.

Or maybe you just enjoy looking really silly as you suggest companies that were multiplatform more than a full decade before the first Playstation should never have gone multiplatform and thus should never have gone on to produce games for the Playstation.

Betrayer? These are game companies yes but they are out to make money like any other business. If they need to expand to releasing their games on more than one console so be it.

I'm not going to feel 'betrayed' if Naughty Dog decides to release games for the Xbox as well. If someone it truly, legitimately butt hurting over things like that then they need to grow up.

Edit: Hang on I think Sony owns NG right? Doesn't matter though. I'm not going to ever will feel betrayed with a company who wants or needs more money releases on more systems.

Focus. Control. Conviction. Resolve. A true ace lacks none of these attributes. Nothing can deter you from the task at hand except your own fears. This is your sky.

I dont really care this time around, since mirosoft isnt limiting by using dvd format like on 360. ff15 looks promising. it all comes down to profit.
