They're not going to respond except maybe to say "hey cool, you copied us." See the thing is back peddling and repositioning their business model is a sign of weakness for MS (as well as likely being a loss of profits due to quickly modifying their plans) and if anything makes sony feel perfectly right for the choice they made which was likely done without much care for what their opposition is doing.

I do agree it'd be nicer of them to give us back out online gaming for free and lock all that other stuff behind the paywall but it's not likely to happen anytime soon... or frankly ever.

They don't need to respond. $399 is still a kick in the nuts to the $499 weaker xbone.

That's a good price for ps4 and sony could use that extra dough. Anything over that would be too expensive for it IMO. 499 is good for xbox-one. You get the console plus kinect sensor which add more features.... Its all good.

More powerful, 100 dollars cheaper and no peripheral being forced on you. Sounds like a winner.

Sony doesnt need to do anything. I was going to get a PS4 reguardless. It would be nice if they include 90 days of PS+ for free for every console.

They don't really need to respond. The PS4 has many other advantage over the Xbox one, the biggest being $100 cheaper with better hardware. They just continue on their current path with the PS4.

There is still a lot left before release later this year. There are at least 3 events (Gamescom, TGS and a SCEJ event planned before TGS) before release and many games left to be announced/revealed. Sony said they have 20 first-party developed games planned for the first year, you can bet more of the 20 games will be revealed before launch.

No, it doesn't. They're just trying to make it a standard like Sony did with Blu-ray, which hiked up PS3's price quite a lot, as well as the proprietary CELL architecture.

Also, the 360 launch price was $399 for the base model while the PS3 was $499 for the base model when it launched (which had a crap ass 20 GB HDD I think).

So the numbers have switched. Both consoles still sold just fine.
"The biggest adversary in our life is ourselves. We are what we are, in a sense, because of the dominating thoughts we allow to gather in our head. All concepts of self-improvement, all actions and paths we take, relate solely to our abstract image of ourselves. Life is limited only by how we really see ourselves and feel about our being. A great deal of pure self-knowledge and inner understanding allows us to lay an all-important foundation for the structure of our life from which we can perceive and take the right avenues.

It's just the opposite of last-gen minus a new format, lol.
