What games should i preorder for PS4?

Ok guys and girls I am thinking of jumping ship to the ps4 this generation as the Xbox One doesn't seem that appealing to me at the moment. However I don't know what titles I should preorder or purchase day 1

NOTE: I am can only preorder 2-3 games with the subscription for online play. At the moment I am interested in FPS and Open world games.

The games that I have include Watchdogs, Killzone Shadow Fall and/or BF4. Is this good and will it keep me satisfied? or should I try AC4 despite not playing the past 3 games.

Additional details include, I love playing online and FPS are the best to do so. I am not interested in car games that much or sport for that matter. I just hope SONY can give me at least par performance when online as Xbox Live is dam good.

P.S Is SONY going to offer free games every month to PS owners like on the ps3 and is the basic edition of DRIVECLUB free?
    Thanks......

I'd definitely suggest Watch Dogs and Battlefield 4 if that's your thing. I'm not sure about Killzone Shadow Fall. A lot of people rather disliked the multiplayer aspect of the game, so unless you're into singleplayer-shooters I would suggest something else. AC4 might be a good game to buy if you're new to the series, especially if you like the idea of being a pirate assassin.

And yes, they are going to offer free games every month. The edition that comes with PS Plus is a limited version of Drive Club, but all the core features are there. I know, misleading right?

I recommend Watch Dogs, you can count on Ubisoft to make a good open world game. The member above me is probably telling you right about FPS games. You may want to wait and see if The Division is going to be a launch title for the PS4. The Division is open world and a third person shooter. It looks like it's going to be a good game.

    Edit:
Don't forget about Infamous Second Son and Call of Duty Ghosts.

Watchdogs and Battlefield 4 just screamed Day 1 for me. plus you get DLC for them. Driveclub is free so it won't hurt to have. I do hope that it has freroam.

Plus the free to play games like Planetside 2 don't hurt either.

Those games will keep me set until Destiny's release!

All of the DLC is available for both next gen consoles, its just that EA have done a deal with MS for earlier access to them on their consoles, not sure however, if this applies to China Rising or the next DLC after it, which I understand to be a re-engineering of 4 maps from BF3.

Infamous Second Son isn't a launch title and Call of Duty Ghosts... Well, it's Call of Duty.

Why? He's never played one before so it shouldn't matter. And even if they milk them out, the games are always very fun to play.

Not entirely sure, but I think Gamestop is the only one offering the China Rising DLC. They tend to get exclusive rights to certain DLC's with certain games.

Gamestop said the China Rising DLC will be available day 1, so its probably the next one.

True. I had heard that this one doesn't necessarily follow the chrono of the other AC's. So it'd probably be easier to jump into.

I've preordered COD ghosts for the ps4 but im trying to decide between Killzone and Watch Dogs. I think I'm going to go with Watch Dogs due to Ubisoft's great previous open-world games.

I would get Killzone 4 and Watch Dogs... Skip COD for a bit... Hell I'm not even getting it on ps4 atm. Battlefield 4 however running on the new frostbite engine is on my list. I don't believe ive heard anything about COD updating their engine. Sounds like you have an Xbox? Just get COD on that. Since it comes out at least a week (more like 2-3) before the consoles it will give you time to round up another $64.19 (what they are after tax in OH)...

PS. Lol yes tax on a video game is $4.20 here... How appropriate...

I believe that I could present you with a "blind taste test" with cod on both services and I doubt you would be able to tell a difference. However that was not the case a few years ago IMO.

To the second quoted part, yes they are going to be giving free games every month and the basic edition of DC is free. I have read that only a couple cars and tracks are included but all the features included in full game are there. Just have to buy extra tracks and cars at your leisure.

No need to pre-order. Download game at midnight on release day. BAM. No shortage of games that way.

I haven't pre-ordered yet, but I'll probably end up pre-ordering Watch Dog. Not a COD fan, and if KZ:SF ends up being a 6-8hr campaign, I will be waiting until it's free on PS+.

This is what I would do:

    Watch Dogs
    KZ Shadow Fall
    AC 4
    FIFA 14
    Madden NFL 25

But you may not like sports games so that's cool. Regarding AC4 - don't worry about not having played the previous ones - the background underlying story gets muddled towards the last 2 titles anyway.

Plus it's probably something that has already been summarised by numerous fan sites.

    #IndieStation4 and proud of it.

    Thats an interesting post.

I wonder how many people will download games rather than get the physical disk based games ongoing?

My main issue with going digital are the fact the prices are not, in most cases, any cheaper than the physical copy, when clearly they dont carry anywhere near the same amount of overhead. And you cannot trade them in.
