PS4 to have 5 more exclusives than Xbox One in year one

http://www.denofgeek.us/games/ps4/14...ne-in-year-one Never have to worry about Sony not having enough exclusives.

Sony has been solid with exclusives with the ps3. I hope they'll just keep on going.

Surely the maths is wrong there ms releasing 15 games 8 being new ip leaves 7 multiplat, Sony release 20 with 12 new ip so that leaves 8 multiplat so are Sony getting a multiplat that ms aren't or have I read that all wrong?

That means 7/8 aren't new IPs, not that they're multiplat.

LOL at article. They don't even know what additional games either company is releasing.

One thing you can always count on is Sony and their exclusives. They know how to open the flood gates in that department.

Throughout this generation I've had more PS3 exclusives than 360. I think that will carry over to this next-gen as well.

Sony will once again win this gen when it comes to supporting its own console. I can't stand MS'sminimalist approach to console support with exclusives. It is a minimalist approach that relied heavily on 3rd party. Sony is releasing around 8 exclusives this year, MS 1. More exlusives next gen already too.

It's nothing surprising though, content production is Sony's forte, being in the music and movie industry too, making content is second nature.

For me, it has been the opposite. But I wouldn't mind seeing that evened out. I get more value out of my purchase that way.

I guess that's cool. I'm not really concerned with the number of exclusives the PlayStation 4 gets in comparison to the Xbox One so long as they're of high quality. From the looks of it, there will be no shortage of good games to play over the next several years.

I feel like Microsoft has always been much 'safer'. They put their money on big franchises like Halo, Call of Duty and now Battlefield as well while Sony has always supported the smaller, more risky games. I like that.

This. Those people who think Sony will all of a sudden decide to NOT utilize their first party dev is not thinking straight. Lol.

I think that is a fair assessment.

While I don't agree with that opinion I must say I do like the risks that both companies have taken this gen.

Pretty much this. Also, Sony releasing 3 new IPs this year for PS3, right on the heels of next gen, shows how gutsy a company it is.

Nice! I figured they were holding back some to show for their European (Gamescom) and Japanese/Asian markets (TGS), especially considering Europe is their biggest market.

I trust Sony much more in the long term on delivering exclusives than Microsoft. I own a 360 and they haven't released anything worth a crap in some time. Now look how the PS3 is going out with a bang this year with exclusives.

Their risk was nixing first party exclusives. While Sony released more of that.

Bring on the exclusives! They are the reason I buy a console in the first place.

One big budget AAA non-timed exclusive that's been successful...yea. And I'm not talking about i.ps that came from the first xbox.
