Is it just me or does the USB charger plug look massive?

My only problem with the controller is the light bar. It looks like something you'd see on a joy riders car and not on a video game controller. The re-design looks amazing though. Much bigger and better for hands that aren't that of a small child.

Sony did great with the DS4. I'm glad they made the changes they did.

Yep, the analog stick peeling happened to both my ds3's. When you play certain games such as NHL, the deke really takes a toll on your controller.

But I thing I hope they don't change is the positioning of where you fingers are. I loved the ds3 over the xbox controller due to how shooters natively use L1 and R1, whereas the xbox uses the triggers. I can't stand that. Iv'e heard that killzone shadow fall now uses the triggers so i'm not too happy about that. I just hope that the positioning of the hand on the ds4 still feels right for l1/r1 and i'll just button config.

They only did that because thats the lock so no one can steal the controller. It is wireless so if you notice the black bracket to the side of the usb plug, that locks the ds4 from being taken away from e3 lol

I like that it's somewhat bigger like the 360 controller and yet it keeps its style and things that I like over the 360 controller.

You really can't ask for more. Stick placements have never been an issue for me.

It seems like they are trying to make the charging cable better as it seems much more bulkier, thus less prone to loosening up. I really like the USB cable, it must be a special one from Sony...not sure, need confirmation because that'd be awesome. I just talked about this issue a few days ago and this seems to be a good solution.

are you serious? is this true? I would not be able to stand that either. I want quickness in competitive games. You can't do that with triggers.

You can do it with triggers, you just couldn't do it with DS3's triggers.

One thing that annoys me now is they seem to be switching the fire button to R2..I don't care if it feels like a trigger, I'm used to R1 dammit!

Very happy about the new controller. The only reason I really preferred the Xbox 360 over the ps3. I have huge hands and the ps3 controller is very uncomfortable for me. Can't wait till launch day!

lol I'm the same way that's gonna take a lot of getting use to there. probably be useful in the end tho seeing as the triggers are shaped outward to hole ya fingers

I refuse to get used to it! They better have an option to use L1 and R1...it's like telling me after 25 years of eating with my right hand all of a sudden I have to start using my $#@!ing toes

I'm sure this won't be a problem. Customizable controls shouldn't be that big of a design problem for developers.

even though it would definitely be weird a first wouldn't you wanna try and
change ur natural buttons to better utilize what the controller was designed for?

Didn't Killzone use R2 to shoot as well?

I'm sure you can select presets to change the button layout.

What? Wether you prefer to shoot with R1 or R2 has nothing to do with their design. You can both use them the way you want without interfering with their 'design'.

they changed the bottom triggers to where they're shaped outwards and not inwards. I'm not saying that a damn preference has anything to do with design. if a trigger is shaped outwards instead of flat or inward common sense should take over and be like oh! I get it! my fingers have less of a chance of slipping off during intense moments! sony's even given that reason for designing the triggers that way
