There has been some recent burbling with the announcement of DX11.2 only for XBone and Windows 8. The PS4 supports DX11.1 and OpenGL4.0. No doubt, OpenGL will also get a dot upgrade to match DX11.2. However, beyond this, the PS4 is going to have PSSL which goes beyond anything DX and OGL have. There is going to be a presentation of PSSL at Gamescom which will provide more details.

We have only seen the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what the PS4 is and will be capable of. Interesting times ahead.
