QR codes work on Kinect 2 -hopefully no more code entering...

Major Nelson has just confirmed via twitter...

    "Yup this works".

Keep the Kinect. Cut the price. I'll enter in my own codes. This is hardly a feature worth the cost.

Although I would gladly enter my own code for a price cut of $100, this is a nice feature to have since Kinect is part of the One.
I don't need no stinkin' signature!

Nice feature but not enough to justify mandatory camera and price.

but will this see the code from me holding up the case from my couch? I mean, I don't want to hafta get up and go alllllllllll the way over to to camera and hold up the code to it. The kinect is supposed to help me not need to get up to use silly things like remotes. /humor

I wonder what else it can scan, my credit card in my wallet perhaps...

I use a USB wireless k/b & mouse on my 360, takes 5 seconds to do.
Gaming on all platforms right now.

true, but i'm surprised you don't understand that it is just... one of the many features, not the only feature.
