This is another thing I'm very interested in, the hardware based tessellation. With Pixar making their unique tessellation methods they've used for years open source last year with OpenSubDiv, there seems to be a lot more game engines finding tessellation more viable. It could be just coincidence that there's more talk of it recently, but either way, Pixar are geniuses with this stuff, and OpenSubDiv allows very high quality level tessellation that is viable for real-time gaming because of it's adaptive tessellation being of greater efficiency. Looking at Capcom's Deep Down demo for PS4, it really shows what's possible next gen with the right engine and solid use of adaptive tessellation.

But, but it's Alienware...yeah, I can't figure out for the life of me why people would spend that kind of money for their systems either, guess some people just have way too much money to burn...

The only thing I like about Alienware is the color-changing lighting they use, but that isn't worth the extra cost.

But... not everyone knows how to put a similar PC together... and if they have the money, they'd rather just spend it and not deal with the hassle.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to seeing what devs can come up with when squeezing all the juice from the PS4. Especially companies like Naughty Dog.

With the hUMA, I've also been curious about it's inclusion\exclusion in the Xbone. There's no real verification that it is in there. They have the fully unified ram, but I'm not sure they've done the kind of customizations that PS4 has done in the whole ram-CPU-GPU relationship to make it more like the AMD APUs that will come out next year.

On the raycasted audio, I assume the audio processor chip that handles the cross-game chat and 200 concurrent mp3 streams in-game will help with the output of that. It makes me want to get a surround sound setup going.
On hUMA, i'm REALLY curious, because I can see how the ESRAM could actually BREAK hUMA or introduce some latencies or real nightmares for it, as backwards as that might sound to some people.
