    Geforce 660 vs 670

Been looking at these two cards. I know 670 is more powerful but the question is it it powerful enough to justify the $200 difference? Not looking to play every game out there on high, but looking to have a graphics card that will last me 2-3 years.

Thought about SLi 660's? I Had a 670 and moved to a SLi setup of 660's and its been ace. Copes with everything maxed out without a sweat. Didn't try a 660 on its own so can't help on that front. The 670 was by no means a slouch though and that was only a reference model.

I have been using a 460 and it's worked just fine with any game out there. My 660M, in my lappy of course, works fine for every game out there. The desktop 660 will work just fine for a while.

Are we talking desktop or notebook graphics cards? I was referring to desktop but my Alienware had a 2GB AMD Radeon HD 6970M which handled the likes of BF3 at 1920*1080 (i7, 6gb ram etc)

Desktop for sure.. was just commenting that if my 660M notebook card works with the games, then definitely you won't be going wrong with the 660 desktop version. Then there is the comparisons between the two you were asking about, and that should help decide whether the price difference is worth the performance boost.

Thanks many of those are using AA and to be honest I never see much difference so I will be turning those off. Looks like the 660 will do what I want so can not justify the extra price.

The 660 has a lower bandwidth memory bus so at high resolutions using high Anti aliasing (AA) it can struggle. Thats a big reason why the 670 is higher priced.
But you tend to not use AA so...

The 770 is just as if not more powerful than a 680 and the 770 is cheaper, its priced somewhere betwen the 670 and 680.

660 TI is a good card, but go easy on the AA.
