Based on how tidy and collective Sony's PR and spokespersons are, and how much experience Sony has on making slimmer PlayStations.. AND considering their HW portfolio AND PS3 failure rate this generation.

I guess that sums it up.

I love how he says "I think it will be fine".

It's sorta like asking the staff of this free fall if you'll be fine, and they answer "I think you'll be fine"

The smaller the technology gets, the lower the power it consumes and so the better it will be at not failing.

and that's why when Xbox 360 and PS3 slim versions came out, the failure rates went sky high.

please teach us more about technology.

Hey hey, he has made it clear that by saying that smaller consoles are more susceptible to overheating and that the PS4 is too small that he is not implying it will have overheating issues.

In fact, I am researching reading comprehension classes now.

some people think the larger the box of a plastic is, the lesser chance it will overheat. this however is flawed logic. the thermal cooling solution used for the circuit board (relative to how power hungry and heat generating the components are), the psu wattage and the placement of the air ducts on the outside of the box are bigger factors than simply the size of the box.

I always hate feeling like I'm only one of intelligence on this forum. No one can seriously read and everyone is super defensive of these plastic toys.

I'll give a golden cookie to whoever can explain how saying "there is a chance of increased failure rate" means the same thing as "there will be an increased rate of failure." It sad none of your reading comprehension classes never taught you all how to differentiate between the two. It's a good thing this is your problem and not mine.

because your statement goes against logic. unless you can tell us that there's something wrong with the design or production that may lead to more failures...logic says that an electronic that takes less power generally means less failure rates.

    you're defying logic.

Mark Cerny: They know how to design PS4 so it wont overheat

You used 'will' frequently in your posts. You used it in a manner of certainty in a reality where no official specifics have been outlined yet, which has been the root of the issue. Since we don't know exactly how it will be cooled, stating theories as fact really isn't productive. If it turns out that Cerny is a liar and it overheats like it's being played on the surface of the sun, then by all means, tear it down. The posts are all here clear as day for everyone to see. I don't get where this playing innocent facade suddenly came from. However, your attempt at playing innocent is not only overshadowed by simply reading your previous posts, it is negated by your adding of the condescending remark at the end of this one.

If your desire is for others to perceive you in a certain way, don't come into a thread posting in one manner and then pretending it didn't happen.

"The biggest adversary in our life is ourselves. We are what we are, in a sense, because of the dominating thoughts we allow to gather in our head. All concepts of self-improvement, all actions and paths we take, relate solely to our abstract image of ourselves. Life is limited only by how we really see ourselves and feel about our being. A great deal of pure self-knowledge and inner understanding allows us to lay an all-important foundation for the structure of our life from which we can perceive and take the right avenues.

Acutally, I only used "it will" once, and it was only mirroring ps3freaks response saying that "You are not offering any reason as to why the smaller unit will overheat." But lying is cool too I guess.
