I actually own all 3 editions. I started getting into photgraphy in the late 80s and was using a Minolta Maxxum 35mm SLR. A freind recommended the book shortly after it came out and I was just thrilled reading it. So much of the hard to understand aspects suddenly became easy. I've talked to other people who say they got as much useful information out of the book as they have an entire year in photography class.

I've recommended it to everyone I know who has a SLR/DSLR. Great book for beginners, and some very useful information for intermediates as well.

Just got back from vacation. Here are a few sample pics that I took. Just a small selection, I'll have more later.

And this is why I own a telephoto lens. Normal lens.......

A couple of more. Then I'm off to take a well deserved nap.

Some great pics, CA! Love that rodent pic with the stuffed mouth.

Some recent Flickr posts (most are older shots I have recently edited. I have been going through my archives during the summer heat):

    Nice.

I'll probably spend months tweaking and editing mine before I'm happy with them all. So far these have been straight RAW to jpeg conversions, resized, and with no other changes made at all. Only the one with the pika has been edited in any way, and it was simply cropped.

I have cleaned up this one. Adjusted the white balance, sharpened it a touch, but otherwise untouched.

These have only been resized and converted.

I have batman pyjama bottoms, and I realised the other night I can make a love heart with them. I'm way cool you see.
