    Calling all runners!

Quick bit about me: I love running, and it was a combination of healthy eating and running that enabled me to lose 40 pounds and get into the best shape of my life. I'm currently working on gaining some of that weight back in the form of muscle.

Someone I'm close to sent me this as a joke, and it's probably the best thing I've ever read. Enjoy and share your thoughts.

Very inspirational, I don't run but I do walk 6+kms a week and lift dumbbells upto 10kgs. My main issue is weight and the ammount of food I eat and how horrible and unhealthy it is.

I did eat healthy a while back for 1 month, got down to 86kilos, but then work ramped up and that alone kills me.

It's definitely a struggle. Great to hear you have some healthy habits, though. I haven't considered myself a runner for long, but I've began running longer and longer distances and found myself running a couple of solo half-marathons a couple weeks ago. I just had some oral surgery a couple of days ago (wisdom teeth removal), so I'm forced to stop, but I've already signed up three 5K runs in the next few months for the wonderful atmosphere.

Also looking to sign up for some official half-marathons and marathons. Goal? Run an ultra-marathon in 2018. Hopefully earlier. Probably earlier, actually.

But a 50-mile ultra-marathon would be awesome... that will probably take some serious training for the next five or so years, I imagine.
