I'm glad to see Superman is finally getting the appropriate treatment. And this should certainly be interesting.
"The biggest adversary in our life is ourselves. We are what we are, in a sense, because of the dominating thoughts we allow to gather in our head. All concepts of self-improvement, all actions and paths we take, relate solely to our abstract image of ourselves. Life is limited only by how we really see ourselves and feel about our being. A great deal of pure self-knowledge and inner understanding allows us to lay an all-important foundation for the structure of our life from which we can perceive and take the right avenues.

I would recommend reading dark knight returns because the quote is from that comic, and if your a superman fan, this might not be a good movie if it follows the source material

I think from the way Zack snyder, handled Man of steel, it's not really going to follow the source material 100%

Anyway, i have never read any DC or marvel comics, so i take the movies as they were directed.

I hope not, though I would love to see a version of superman at worlds end, just to see super santaman and the phrase I AM A MAN as he punches a robot on the big screen

Something interesting for the fans and something to get DC going with their movies beside these two characters and toward a Justice league movie. I'm sorry to go off topic here, but it pisses me off that they have yet to make a Wonder Woman movie. They should've been had a movie trilogy of her done already

Now this is a funny comment. Zack Snyder doing a better film than Nolan... not in our lifetime. Snyder barely pulled off a good film with MoS, which many would argue, and now he's adding the next biggest superhero. I just can't see this going well at all.

Well, Nolan is in a different league. What i want to see is a good enough Movie that will keep the DC universe going, and hopefully more movies of course.

Thanks WB, Piss on the Cereal Will Ya!

I'm confused by all this, is this a separate movie from the squeal to MOS (MOS 2) or is this the actual squeal that was slated to come out in 2014? If its not a spin-off, this could be the worst news I've heard in weeks.

This could actually be absolutely horrible news, in no way do I want Batman interfering with MOS here...this is disturbing. I couldn't watch any of the new batman films because its so far from what I can tolerate (see my Man Of Steel review) and having batman with superman could really harm things for me. Of course, all the Dark Knight fans will go banana's over this while the purist MOS fan will be puking. $#@!, I pray they don't screw everything up because if Zack Snyder and Co do turn it into The Dark Night 4, I'll be personally flying over to spit on their faces.

That would completely destroy everything, sounds awful. A new actor for Superman? Worst idea. Henry was already perfect, and history tells us that new actors to continue the same brand or universe always goes badly...very.

The other thing that bothers me is now Batman might steal the spotlight of Superman knowing the raving fans that await, take the focus off of SM's story alone which would totally infuriate me. How would a GTA fan react to Batman suddenly going in GTA5? Or a Saints Row character? I also tend to think the universe of SM and BM being completely different and for BM to just pop in mangles the setting. Next thing, we're going to be seeing endless dumb nerd debates and arguments over who can beat who and which is better...$#@!! I can hear it already! Then there's who is stronger...I don't read any comics or any canon of either SM or BM so I know nothing about that, but to me based on the movies made in the last 20 years, Superman seems really beyond what Batman does...Batman has more human elements with cool tools with a Bat-mobile while Superman is supernatural and is lightning fast, and can destroy whole cities. Mixing the two or having a fight I don't see it.

I saw this posted on IMDB, and maybe it does a good job at the SM vs. BM stuff, the ending mostly:

    Link: http://www.cracked.com/blog/7-ways-b...-than-superman

The link the OP posted, hearing that video and the fans groveling and orgasming to the news...kind of scary...

How would this even work? Would it be the Chris Nolan batman..? Surely not. Bruce Wayne is now practically crippled and retired besides, same with Alfred. The costume\persona was 'willed' to Blake (Robin) at the end of Dark Knight Rises but that just wouldn't fly.

Besides, Superman wouldn't even -fit- in that setting.

So the only other option is to remake Batman, but how would that even work following so closely on the heels of the most popular incarnation of the character ever? Especially when it just wrapped up.. And apparently he's just going to co-star\cameo in the next superman movie?

Will there be no development of the character? Who will play him? Certainly not Levitt or Bale.

I get that DC wants to mimic Marvel's success. Who wouldn't after the non stop homeruns they're making. But Marvel has been carefully building up "The Avengers" and the unified timeline since the beginning with Iron Man. They literally spent multiple movies slowly linking everything together. This sounds alot more knee jerk.

    +rep for your awesome post...

They said they are rebooting the series again and thus this superman is a reboot off the series and therefore they could in theory tie something in...

They did with Iron man, Hulk, captain america etc...

    Just saying
