Not bad for the price... I'd have to do some more looking around to check prices...

AMD CPU.....Nvidia GPU....are you trying to kill us all!?

as others have said, that is a very good build, especially for the price!

if i could change anything, i would say get a small SSD in there instead of the BIG HDD. use a portable for your files in the meantime and sometime down the line put in the big one you plan to buy now....just my two cents. Skyrim and SSD's were made for each other

SSD vs regular HDD is night and day my friend. The upgrade is worth it.

He can always do it later, but yes... the difference is staggering.

Yep just clone the ddrive with either Norton ghost or Acronis true image so no need to reinstall, takes about an hour or so. The latter is what i use.

I've used Acronis on Windows with great success, but there's a lot of really good freeware available for drive cloning. I can't recommend Norton anything. I despise the company.

That logan guy from Razethew0rld on youtube, he has some really good builds for different price ranges. you could check him out as well to get even more ideas as well as maybe some sales on his reviews of certain products.

After looking at your link a bit further. That is pretty good, but I think you might be able to sacrifice some other things to get a better GPU. Maybe but I'm not sure.

Yeah i'd ditch the mouse and invest in one from Razer, Steelseries, Logitech or any other respected brand. They might cost more but this will be your main input point with games. A $#@! mouse will give you a very $#@! jittery experience.

Yeah... kind of a pointless purchase. Might as well go with a gaming mouse to go with the rest of the setup. o_0

    Best Gaming PC under $1,000

^^ if you need a monitor, it won't get much better than that. Kudos, that's a good recommendation. Although if you want to overclock too, you'll need to spend more on a better motherboard.
I'd change the mobo to the ASUS M5A97 Rev 2.0 anyway, that's better for 8 cores from AMD.

Regardless of the reviews it has, it's not a gaming mouse. You'll need better precision for gaming. You should go with something like this: http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-mice

Well... the conversion rate is roughly $40, but that's still 6 more than what you paid. But any sort of gaming mouse will be better than that... thing... he got.

ugh, I hate razer anything. Their keyboards are built like complete $#@!. The same goes for their mice also. Either that or I just happened to get a bad mouse and keyboard in one shot. overpriced and made cheap. logitech so far has lasted me about 4 years and counting and not one single problem yet. To each their own as some people may experience Razer better than I have but I really hate that brand.

I've had really good experiences with Razer, but I've also had good experiences with Logitech. Just use what ya like. :]
