Automatic upload of save data with PS+ How To.

Revised for firmware update 2.60 which is now live:

A PS+ icon is now in the Live Area of a game to select to upload/download saves:

Also, in content manager the Online storage menu has been revised with the following.

    Select saved data:

And you select which content to auto upload:

Simple as that compared to the Original Post:

Even if this helps one person it'll make it worth while as I was super pissed this morning.

Since PS+ started on the Vita I've had 'upload save data to online storage' selected as so:

I've recently picked up some Vita games that were reduced in price. I'd completed and sold them a while back but wanted to pick up afew collectables, trophies etc for the 100%.

There was no save data on my memory cards for these games as I'd gone from a 8GB to 2 16GB's so thought I'd grab it off the cloud storage to find my cloud was empty. Nothing had been uploading even though I thought everything would be there from what I'd got selected in my settings.

Pissed off to say the least I looked abit further into it and decided to write the following incase if anyone else thinks their save data are being uploaded when they're not.

Maybe its just me and everyone knows but I'd never come across it before. Would be a damn site easier if when selecting a game it asks you if you want to upload to cloud storage as the PS3 does.

Anyway, to upload save data to the cloud automatically:

    I) Open content manager, select online storage:

II) Select PS Vita system to Online storage

III) Your PS Vita save data will be displayed, press the 'i' icon next to the name of a game:

IV) Tick the Upload Automatically box:

    V) You will now have a green arrow indicating that games save data will be automatically uploaded:

VI) Repeat this for all the games you want to have Auto Uploaded.

VII) Data may not be automatically uploaded if applications are open and
PS Vita also needs to be in standby at time of upload.

Like I say, everyone may have known to have done this and I could be the clown here but I genuinely thought from what I had selected in my settings that that was all that was needed.

    Hope this helps,

    Gaz

No problem guys, I hope in a future update the feature is added where the system asks you if you want to upload the save when you first try a game as per the PS3. Would save time or forgetting to have to manually do it.
