Price cut coming.. confirmed by Target ad. Games coming. Memory card prices should go down hopefully, with a 64GB size coming. I don't see it dying if they follow through with this stuff. That and the PS4 combination with it..

That, and Patcher said this... that makes it untrue from the start lol.

If SONY doesnt support it with it's own 1st party studios, who the $#@! will?!?!

They need to bring the big guns at GC and TGS, drop the price and one of the cards as well (actually update the fw so they are no longer mandatory would be better) SONY has not learned from their past mistakes in regards to proprietary $#@!. Let's hope Kaz realises this and turn the vita around like he did for other sony aglomeration(sp?)

Well, he did predict that vita probably would struggle back when it launched.

He's right if Sony doesn't get off their butts and make some games for it.

I do agree, 1st party games will help sales and bring more 3rd party games.

Currently Playing: Lumines Electronic Symphony (Vita)

It's dead in the west for sure with weak 3rd party support and stores pulling them from stock. But just like PSP, Japan is where the sales and 3rd party support are at. Sony themselves have done a poor job at developing for it post launch.

If you own a Vita but don't like Japanese games, the indie games are all you're pretty much getting after KZ and Tearaway it seems.

I'd love for the remake to be on Vita actually with no differences to the gameplay and for it to look like the PC versions with mods.

Over any PS3 or PS4 remake where they would add crappy VA and ruin the battle system.

I feared this would happen...hence why i didn't buy one. Shame, as the hardware is lovely...not that its dead yet. I do hope it survives and grows...

The vita had sooooooooooo much potential. I was really hyped when i first saw it. But the games are just so horrible (minus a few like KZM, Soul Sacrifice, etc.)

Now it's just a communication device for me because I really only use it for the Party chat now.

I guess that's why my Vita exploded - coincides with the date of that post.

The only two I considered horrible for me has been Unit 13 and COD. Otherwise, all the games I've had have been pretty awesome.

The Vita is like the Wii u, it has nothing that appeals to small fans and it just needs something special to make it far more appealing to gamers

Not to me, I have 15 Vita games and a few on the backlog... I love it. I don't play it as much as my 3DS which is my primary gaming machine atm, but I love my Vita.

Sales will come in time, but it will always be a niche console

This is sad to me because of what it says about the alternatives:

I hate the buttonless and two screen portable systems. One big screen but still fits in my front pocket, if only just barely. That's what I want. I don't use my PSP much now, because I don't ride the train or bus often, but when I go to Japan next year, I'll sure want a portable and a Smart Phone just won't cut it for games.

Everyone was excited for Vita before Nintendo dropped the 3ds price. It really seems like this is an issue of money, not support. The games it had are fine, and we would have seen more if more people had bought it.

They should have supported Micro SD and not killed off BIGbig Studios or Studio Liverpool and they could have had a Vita MotorStorm and WipeOut 2 to got with TearAway and Killzone.

The real problem is the shift in dev focus to the PS4 and far too many cross buy games, while great in concept. I think with the PS4 going to thrash the market Vita could still be saved.

I never liked the idea of portable gaming. I have played PSP, gameboy, GBC, NDS and Vita on several occasions. Of all those, I actually enjoyed GBC the most.
IMO nothing beats a huge full HD screen with the comfort of a nice sofa, playing like a king and sipping a cool drink..

Be patient people. The Vita hits the 2 year mark February next year. It took the 3DS two years to have the library of games it has now.

Bioshock Vita is still in development, there will probably be another Call of Duty Vita, possibly a GTA Vita, probably a Gran Turismo Vita, probably another AC vita, and more.

Just be patient. The big games are coming.

I've stopped using my Vita now, I don't think it's because I got bored of it or anything like that, just games on other platforms stole my interest. Right now I can't put my 3DS down but take a back a few months and I wasn't touching the thing.
No doubt when Killzone Mercenary comes out then the Vita will be back in my hands! Hopefully that will be one game to push sales up of the handheld, it deserves it.
