35 cases of stupid people on the Internet

    http://thoughtcatalog.com/2013/the-3...nion-was-real/

    15. “This is what we pay these people to do”

Basically, that saying "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing" applies.

Number 25 is by far my favourite one.

    #IndieStation4 and proud of it.

Or more accurate title: 35 Times the Onion has fooled gullible people into believing its publication.

But, from this list, I can make out a few types of Internet personality types that I've put up with.

My most hated one, the sheep conspiracy theorist.

Now, this is someone who automatically believes anything she/he hears when it's against a higher authority like the government. They like facebook pages that are against Illuminati and other government organizations. They post what these pages post based on their recent findings. They have no comment about it, other than to post the information. When someone proves them wrong, they retort with elitist insults. Usually these people are also god fearing people who believe in the antichrist and that it's Obama. Guess what, conspiracy theories have said the same things about the previous president and nothing happened. I really $#@!ing the facebook conspiracy theorist. Another thing to look out for is they believe powerful people in the entertainment music industry like Jay-Z are illuminati puppets, or generally any public figure who is very rich and an entrepreneur.

I recently blocked someone who normally posts $#@! like this, but he posted something rather very stupid that implied people who go to college are stupid puppets who are elitist assholes. I really wanted to give him an ass whooping for that, but I found it easier to block him instead. One less $#@!face to put up with.

Another type is the fishing for compliments poster who talks about their lives, the problems in their lives and why people should give a $#@! about their problems. It's mostly fishing for pity compliments in an attempt to assure and validity in their $#@!ty lives and to make themselves feel important on a social network.

    I love The Onion.
"The biggest adversary in our life is ourselves. We are what we are, in a sense, because of the dominating thoughts we allow to gather in our head. All concepts of self-improvement, all actions and paths we take, relate solely to our abstract image of ourselves. Life is limited only by how we really see ourselves and feel about our being. A great deal of pure self-knowledge and inner understanding allows us to lay an all-important foundation for the structure of our life from which we can perceive and take the right avenues.”

To us this sounds dumb now but back then spaghetti was strange and not very popular in Britain and very few people knew how it was made.

Number 9 is great. When the guy goes "That's your opinion" it reminds of me of sheldon when he said during the physics bowl episode. Sometimes i weep that people don't know what onion.com really is. I just couldn't stop shaking my head at number 25.
